He'd given up. There was no point in trying to pretend there was nothing between them. There was a lot between them. A lot of heat and sizzling attraction that was building by the moment.

He tried ignoring it. He tried To think about anything and everything except for the fact that his mate was right there in front of him half naked and completely aroused. He was a male werewolf after all and everything about her called to him, his wolf and his dick.

He couldn't ignore it. He just couldn't. Not when she was staring at him like she wanted to eat him alive. She could barely peel her eyes off of him and it was such a turn on.

Aiden knew he should ignore his body's reaction to her. He should ignore how turned on he was. And he should most definitely ignore how hard his dick was. For his own sanity.

But Anna wasn't making it easy on him And he at least needed a taste.

As soon as she gave permission, his lips slammed down on hers, demanding entrance into her mouth. She immediately gave it and he devoured her, his mouth claiming hers as his own. He wrapped one hand around the side of her neck and the other around her waist pulling her against him. He needed to make her his. His need was so strong this morning, and he knew it was partially because marking her might actually be within his reach.

Anna relaxed against him, her arms going around his neck. He wanted to pick her up and put her on his bed and show her how much he missed her. But he also knew it was better for the both of them If he waited until after she made her decision.

"Ana, we have to stop before I end up having sex with you right now," he murmured against her lips.

"Why? I want you, Aidan," she responded, pressing her body up against his.

"Are you sure you'd want to?"

"I've never been so sure of something in my life. I want to be with you. Forever," she whispered.

He studied her face for a moment. She was dead serious. "I need to shift before I piss off Ghost anymore that I already have. If you still want to have sex after then we'll talk about it, okay?"

"Talk about it or do it?"

Aiden laughed. "Probably both. I think it's pretty obvious I want you." He took several steps back from her. "Ana, this isn't going to sound pleasant but honestly it doesn't hurt at all." He looked up at her. "Okay?"

"Yeah."

"Also, If Ghost wants out, let him out the back door. He might want to run. I'm honestly not sure if he will, but he hasn't been out in quite a while. It won't be for a long though. Will you stay here?" He was going to have to trust her.

She met his gaze. "Yes. I won't run Aiden. I'll wait right here for you and Ghost to come back."

Aidan gave up control to his wolf, expecting him to shift right away, but instead, Ghost walked over to Ana. "You won't leave me, Mate?

She looked up at him, a smile on her lips as she reached up and cupped his cheek. "No. I'll wait right here for you. I won't leave you." She looked down, then back up. "I won't ever leave you. I can't walk away from this."

Aidan felt his heart swell in his chest as his wolf lightly brushed her cheek. "Mine," he said hoarsely.

"Yes. Yours. Always."

He smiled down at her, and then kissed her forehead. Ghost stepped back and shifted easily into his rightful form.

Ana's eyes were wide as she stared at him and he walked back over to her and sat down.

"Wow," she whispered. "It really was you in my dreams. Don't tell Aidan, but he's been in them too."

Aidan smiled at that. He supposed he should have told her he could hear everything she said but it was too late now. At the moment, he was just glad she'd agreed to be with him. He felt an immense sense of relief.

Ghost thoroughly enjoyed his time with Ana. His wolf had no qualms about acting like a pup with her and let her pet him. She patted his head, and scratched behind his ears, and Ghost even rolled over and let her rub his belly. Aidan rolled his eyes at that. His wolf was completely whipped. But then so was he.

He let Ana pet him for quite a while before he finally wandered over to the door, and Ana opened it for him. Aidan held his breath as his wolf took off down the steps. He hoped Ana would still be there when he got back.

'Mate will be,' Ghost reassured him.

Aidan rolled his eyes. Now Ghost wanted to trust her. He hoped he wasn't wrong.

Ghost ran for all he was worth, finding a spot nearby where he could run at top speed for a bit. It felt good. Really good. Not shifting for almost six months had made him antsy. Combine that with Ana disappearing had made him completely miserable. And now it seemed like everything might finally be turning around for him.

He was more relaxed than he'd been in a while. Not fully relaxed; he wouldn't be until he marked her, but definitely better than he'd been an hour ago. As long as she was still there when he got back. That made him tense. At least finding her this time would be easier.

Finally Ghost tired himself out and headed back to the pack house. He headed up the stairs and was happy to see the door open for him.

Ana was standing inside and she smiled at him. "Feel better?" she asked, rubbing her hands all over his back, rubbing gently.

Ghost groaned in delight.

'She's got you spoiled,' Aidan muttered.

'So?'

Aidan smiled and shook his head. He could fully agree with that. 'You are going to give me back control, right?'

'Maybe.'

Aidan sighed. Of course not. Ghost had been so temperamental lately. He hoped though, that spending time with Ana would help. His wolf had been basically punishing him for the last five months.

But he suddenly found himself back in the driver's seat, and he moved away from Ana so he could shift. It felt so good, and he stood there for a moment, stretching out his muscles. He needed a shower now.

Aidan turned back to Ana and saw her staring at him again. She was back to being aroused.

"I'm ready, Aidan. I want you to fuck me. Mark me, mate me. Whatever you need to do. This is what I want. Someone to spend the rest of my life with. I've obsessed over you for the last five months too. I've regretted walking away that morning. I could kick myself for that," she said quietly.

"You're sure, Ana?" He held his breath, waiting for her response.

She nodded. "I hated being away from you when you were outside. You were gone for almost an hour." She glared up at him.

He smiled. "Ghost and I have been at odds since you left. This was the first time he's been out. We ran all that time. It felt good."

"Was he mad at you?"

"He was mad at me and himself," he said.

Her eyes dropped. "I'm sorry."

Aidan tipped her chin up. "None of that, Angel. What happened is in the past. Let's move on from it. But I need to take a shower."

Her eyes traveled from his own down and over his sweaty body. Her tongue darted out and his cock twitched in response. "Okay."

Aidan stepped back from her and walked into the bathroom. He flipped the water on cool and then stepped inside the shower and stood there for a long moment, enjoying it. Ana hadn't said anything so far about becoming a werewolf, but he'd wait and see what she wanted to do.

He finished up and stepped out of the shower, drying himself off, then headed into his bedroom. He had every intention of mating his mate. But she wasn't there. He sighed as he felt his heart drop.

Aidan walked out of his bedroom and into her room. The sound of running water reached him, and he realized she was taking a shower as well. He breathed a small sigh of relief, and headed back into his own room to wait for her. She was going to be moving in there.
