She was nervous, and excited. She still couldn't believe Xavier had agreed to change her. She had to give the man credit. He wasn't holding a grudge. She frankly couldn't have blamed him if he did, but he'd just smiled at her and agreed. He'd change her along with his own mate. Ana hadn't known that Xavier's mate was human too, and now she wanted to ask Aidan more questions, but that would have to wait until later.

The kitchen was huge, all of the appliances modern and industrial. It was clean and still smelled amazing. A couple was inside, talking to each other. The man had brown hair, and heavy muscles. He was seated on a stool, with the woman between his legs, his hands on her hips. She had firey red hair, and was smiling up at him, her hand cupping his cheek. They both looked up as Xavier, his mate, Maddie, Aidan and Ana entered the room.

"We turning people today, Xavie?" the woman asked.

Xavier smiled at her. "We are."

She nodded and moved away from the man. She walked around, gathering items as she went, before she came back to the large island. She handed Xavier a knife and a cup.

Ana watched in fascination as he cut his hand and drained the blood into the cup. She shuddered a bit, knowing Clyde had taken Xavier's blood from him over and over again. Apparently, it had powerful healing properties, and ... she frowned. Was her sister Gen a werewolf?

"What's wrong?" Aidan asked her.

Him being able to feel her emotions was going to take some getting used to. She looked up at him. "Nothing."

He gave her a look that told her straight out he didn't believe her. "Give us a second." He took her hand and led her out of the kitchen. He stopped and turned to her. "Are you sure you want to do this?"

She looked up at him, her eyes wide. "Yes, of course."

"Then what was I feeling from you just a bit ago? When we were in the kitchen?"

She frowned, thinking over the last several moments. Gen. "My dad gave my sister Xavier's blood."

Aidan's eyebrows shot up. "You're sure?"

She nodded. "It was in his journal that he did. Two days before he completely disappeared."

Aidan crossed his arms, a frown on his face. "Why would he give it to her?"

"My sister has been extremely sick most of her life. She's living on borrowed time."

Aidan closed his eyes for a moment, then stepped forward and hugged her. "Okay."

"I've seen her a few times since then and she looked better than she had before." Apparently, Xavier's blood had done some sort of miracle for her.

"Do you know how he gave it to her?" Aidan asked her.

"No. Aidan, do you think she's a werewolf now?" Her sister might be freaking out.

Aidan's eyes flickered. "It would have had to be ingested and it has to be at least a cup for it to work. If he gave her a tranfusion with Xavier's blood, then it would have just healed her."

"So my sister might be a werewolf?" She hoped Gen wasn't terrified.

Aidan suddenly stilled and she wondered if he was getting a mind link again. Would she be able to do that?

He looked back at her after a few moments. "You sure you want to do this?"

"Yes."

"Then we need to get back in there. We'll talk about this in a little bit. You're not going to turn right away. It'll take some time."
