The next morning, Xavier still hadn't moved, and Ana booked a flight to Pennsylvania. She was ready to go find Xavier Remington and maybe her father. She had a feeling Xavier wouldn't be happy to see her, but as of right now, he was her only lead. He'd just have to deal with it. She'd packed her bag for a few days, and packed up her gun. She definitely wasn't going without it. The silver bullets had cost her a small fortune and she hoped she wouldn't have to use them.

The wolfsbane had been cheaper, but not much. She hoped it wasn't just scented, colored water. She wouldn't have any idea. But as much as she'd paid for the small bottle, it had better be the real thing.

The flight was fortunately uneventful, and her thoughts drifted back to Xavier. Was he afraid of flying now, if he had his memories back? If she'd survived a plane crash, she'd never want to test her luck and fly again. She wondered if he felt the same way, though it was possible, he might still not remember the plane crash. She wondered if he was aware of the device in his brain. If not, she'd tell him. He at least deserved to know that.

She'd rented a car, as she'd realized that Xavier lived a good forty-five minutes away from the airport. She set herself up once she was inside the car, pulling on her bulletproof vest, and pulling her gun out of its case she'd packed it in for flying. She placed it inside the holster that sat inside of her jeans, and pulled her shirt down. It wasn't visible now. She'd chosen not to bring her service revolver. This one was smaller and more easy to conceal. She popped the small bottle of wolfsbane in her bra, right between her breasts. Frankly, she hoped to not have to use of the stuff, but better to be safe than sorry.

She was hoping to walk in, give him his things, ask about her father, and leave. She wasn't under any illusions though, of it being that easy. If everything went perfectly, she might consider asking him what it was like being a werewolf, but chances were this wasn't going to be pretty. She breathed out slowly as she drove, realizing she was gripping the steering wheel very tightly, and forced herself to relax. She knew what she was doing. She was an excellent shot, and she'd been trained to deal with tense situations.

Ana pulled down the long drive that led back to Xavier's house and her eyes kept glancing into the woods, looking for wolves. She couldn't help herself. Her father had never mentioned these werewolves shifting. Did they only do it on a full moon, or were they able to do it any time they wanted to? She wished she knew. All of her research online had proven nothing. According to the internet, werewolves just didn't exist. How wrong they were.

She finally pulled out to a large clearing and several large buildings. She slowed, looking around. It was obvious which building was the main house, though it sort of reminded her of an apartment building. It was beautiful though, and Ana wondered about it. This was where Xavier lived? There was a large building off to the side that looked like a garage. She eyed it quietly. How many people actually lived here at this place? Apparently Xavier had a huge family.

Then another thought occurred to her. Was he married? Did he have kids? A family that depended on him? She really wanted to slap both Clyde and her father. Didn't they think of things like that when they were messing with someone's life? Apparently not.

Ana pulled up in front of the house, deciding it was the safest option. She sat staring at it for a long moment, calming herself, and watched the front door open. A man walked out, and her breath caught. He was absolutely gorgeous, but he most definitely was not Xavier Remington or Daniel Remington for that matter. She'd studied both men enough to know that this man wasn't either of them.

Ana swallowed. He was built though, just like Xavier and Daniel. These men seemed to have an obsession with working out. He sort of reminded her of Aidan, minus the tattoos. Not that he looked anything like Aidan, but his build was similar. He was standing with his legs spread, and his arms crossed over his chest. He had on a t-shirt and jeans.
