Black.

The whistling of the air.

Falling at full speed.

The call of gravity.

The shock of landing on water as hard as concrete, emptying both her lungs and her mind.

The Walker couldn't breathe. The dark waves enveloped her, invaded her, crushed her under the pressure, dragged her into the depths. They played with her, as if she were only a doll that they tossed around as they pleased.

She wanted to go back up, but where was the way out? All oxygen had deserted her lungs during the impact. It was impossible to find one's way.

Lauren was running out of air. She had to breathe now! Instead of the long-awaited breath of oxygen, it was water that rushed into her lungs.

She was suffocating! She was going to die!

Another desperate breath, followed by intense pain. The salt water seeped into every corner of her lungs and began to mix with her blood.

She didn't want to die! Not like that!

Her strength was failing him, leaving her sinking body like rats leaving a ship.

Her muddled mind struggled to formulate coherent thoughts. So, that was how she was going to die. Drowned when entering a dream.

A dream?... of course! Calling on her power, she materialized a bubble of air around her head and inhaled greedily.

Lauren took a few minutes to calm down.

Now she was ashamed. In her panic, she had forgotten that none of this was real.

Never, before experiencing this pseudo-drowning, would she have thought she would be able to appreciate so much the sensation of the air entering and leaving her lungs.

Once she had recovered from her emotions, the Walker thought about what she should do. Find the owner of the dream – Lys.

First, she had to push back this sticky darkness. With a snap of her fingers, she created light and looked around.

What she saw made her blood run cold.

It was practically at the bottom. Around her was a morbid forest where weighted bodies acted as trees. Of some, only the bones remained, while others were still decomposing. Lauren's closest body seemed to be watching her – an eyeless eye stared at her.

The jaws of all the dead opened abruptly to let out a few words:

"It's your fault... It's your fault!"

Suddenly, a hand grabbed Lauren's arm.
