When they found a corner away from prying eyes, the two teenagers stopped. « Alexandre » stared at the girl without a word. He didn't know her name, nor her relationship with the real Vampire.

He was going to have to improvise once again.

"I..." began the girl. "I just had my first Nap class and... it was hell."

Had she seriously taken him aside to complain and whine? This annoyed the man who pretended to be Alexander. It wasn't like she almost died, or like she was trapped in a horrific world!

"That girl, Lys... She was weird. Her mind... as if broken. She went back in time in her sleep and frankly... it is disturbed. She saw herself as... a monster, then a puppet... and the voice."

The girl paused.

"And she... There were dead bodies in the water."

« Alexandre » rolled his eyes mentally. Was she aware that what she was saying made no sense?

"A bit like guilt, you know?" she continued.

He couldn't see, no, but it was interesting. Corpses and guilt? Maybe he could manipulate this girl. What was her name, again?

"What is her name?" he asked abruptly.

The young girl he was talking to gave him a surprised and perplexed look. « Alexandre » bit his lips. It seemed that he had made a blunder.

"Lys. I've said it before..." she murmured finally.

"Sorry to interrupt you."

He didn't think so at all, but it calmed the girl's doubts. The latter continued to speak, waving her hands, annoying the double. « Blah-blah-blah and I touch my ear, blah-blah-blah-blah, I'm fiddling with my outfit, blah-blah-blah, I'm handling my brooch with my row, blah-blah-blah, and I'm snapping my fingers. »

From time to time, he nodded to make her believe that he was paying attention to her.

Suddenly, the girl fell silent for a few seconds. The fake Vampire savored this little silent moment before she declared, squinting:

"Alexander, you're weird."

"What do you mean?"

Had she seen through it? If so, he had to kill her immediately.

"Usually, you always answer me-for-tat when I use the signs."

So it was for this reason that she had gesticulated like this. His blanket had blown off; without hesitating for a second, he changed his dominant hand into long claws and called upon vampiric speed to allow his next blow to pierce through the Walker's flesh.

"Are you sick?" she asked just before the hand transformed into a deadly weapon split her in two.

« Alexandre » looked at his hand with some admiration. Definitely, the powers of the Vampires were interesting.

Then he sighed. Now he had two corpses on his hands. He could not take the place of two people at the same time.

He had to arrange for one of the maccabees to be found.
