When the visit to the establishment finally ended, the afternoon was coming to an end. All the students dispersed, chatting happily. Alexander, on the other hand, walked away alone in the direction of the upper classrooms.

A plan for the establishment had formed in his mind as he explored. Six study rooms surrounded the Refectory, each intended for a different species. The builders had had the intelligence to place that of the Vampires as far as possible from that of the Lympyres. Each room had access to Cigam's Internal Garden, which contained the Arena, the only place where fights were allowed, and the Library of Merit in the middle of the green spaces.

The Library's system was both complex and confusingly simple. Spread over six floors, all students were allowed to use the first level as they pleased. However, to access the knowledge of the higher level, one had to pass a test and become a rank two student, and so on until the sixth floor.

The dormitories and classrooms formed a wall between the Inner and Outer Garden. These buildings had four floors to which access was restricted according to the rank of the students. The higher the rank of the students, the more spacious the rooms and classrooms.

After a few minutes' walk, Alexander finally arrived at the meeting place. His impassive and arrogant mask that he placed on his face cracked and gave way to laughing eyes and a seductive smile.

Lauren was already waiting for him, leaning against the wall, anxiously watching the empty hallway. When she noticed him, her face lit up. Once he reached the level of the young girl, who was a head shorter than him, the Vampire leaned towards her and asked:

"May I?"

She nodded shyly, and Alexander's smile widened when he saw that the young Walker's ears were turning to crayfish. Tenderly, he put his lips to hers.

They both knew the risks they were taking. Since they belonged to different species, they were not allowed to associate with each other, but it didn't matter to them. The heart has its reasons that reason ignores, doesn't it? They had loved each other since childhood, and nothing would separate them.
