Warsaw

1945, the war has came to the German border and now even Germany the once mighty superpower it was. Was now even vulnerable to an invasion itself. And its army was lacking heavily in reinforcements and resources. And all of its allies had turned against them.
Romania, Bulgaria and Finland were forced into cooperation with the USSR and now Germany and Hungary were the last countries in the war with the Italian puppet state the Germans set up after the surrender of Italy. The Red army had more then beyond a numerical superiority against the Germans. 6,500,000 men against barely 2,000,000 trying to hold the front.

And as the Red army approached the German border and the last major city before Berlin was Warsaw. And the German army had been severely weakened and was lacking the important reinforcements it needed to repel or hold the line for a long time. And the Soviets had completely destroyed its Allies and hopes of resurgence. The war was truly in the end game...

As the Soviets prepared for the impending assault, the Germans were scraping together the last of their armoured reserves to send to the front. However the Soviets still outnumbered them by far in armoured vehicles. And then the attack towards Warsaw began. First they launched an attack near the Polish border to pre WW2. And as they maneuvered, the German resistance was stiff but it had little difficulty to advance and eventually they were at the outskirts of Warsaw. And they plunged a spearhead attack towards the city and a Polish uprising began however just being talked about earlier. The last of the German armoured reserves had arrived and blunted the spearhead halting the Soviet advance. However this victory was short lived as the Soviets prepared to launch an attack on the whole front. And preparing their units the Germans were not prepared for the attack and they fell back far behind Warsaw. And thus the battle for Warsaw ended in Soviet victory. However the Germans were caving in as their limited resources and man power was beginning to show through the cracks day by day. And without those reinforcements, they were put into a full defence and retreat for the rest of the war for 1945. Relying on conscription and volunteers to maintain their numbers. And with no longer having their resources remaining they had to rely on their most elite group of men they had. The Waffen SS. But not even they could hold their own against the mighty red army. And soon they would also fail the stop the power. And resulting in defeat for Berlin in May 1945.
