Alex's passions always felt conflicted, but for him to feel any other way was unnatural. Even still, his suspicions were unwavering, yet if he conceded Karen would take advantage.
Meanwhile, drawing to the curb he felt distraught because he'd never felt heartbreak or true love. But, at only nineteen his life was ahead of him, but Alex had fallen in love way too soon.
Whatever the case, if the relationship was over he wanted to hear the words. Shortly after, their eyes met, the gates opened and Karen passed through.
Alex needed to confront her, but he wouldn't react because she wanted him to. Thus, he maintained separation hoping to restrict her capabilities.
"Come here." She beckoned, gesturing.
He expectedly stayed stout and in control amid Karen's piercing gazes. However, their relationship demanded attention and he'd offered her the chance to explain, but thus far Karen had declined. So, like that, whether he wanted it or not their union had ended.
Worse luck, Jessica had again portrayed the martyr and minimized the psychological tolls, so Karen was content to seize authority. All the while, memories of Luis's rejection resonated while an ideal life felt taken away. (An existence she wasn't capable of recovering).
Karen returned inside after a bit wanting to confront her mother. Although, such an argument wasn't advisable since Jessica had again exiled Alex like she'd done years earlier with Luis. Thus, furthermore undermining her happiness.
Nevertheless, she'd pleaded with Luis, but he was so far unwilling to listen. Hence, Karen again felt exiled and would become far more dangerous.
"Where is she?" Jordan thought while accessing Karen's bedroom.
Jessica observed while he returned alone and retreated downstairs.
"What's happening?"
"Karen's defied authority and fled..." he admitted. "Hoping to locate the gemstone."
Jessica never anticipated Karen's newfound awareness nor the adverse effects of the herbal cures. Secondly, because she'd renounced further treatments her daughter now recalled everything.
"We have to stop her." Jessica demanded.
"If we can." Jordan replied.
