Outright trepidation: an emotional response that Anna feared and hoped to avoid. Yet up to now, she'd done what Katherine asked, but while saving Sam's life she'd lost her trust. More gravely, Jennifer also shares the blame and though she hadn't acted on Katherine's behalf the deceit was mutual.

Sam again felt alone due to the selfish acts of the two people she trusted. Even still, the day witch maintained her faith, confident that Sam wouldn't react instinctively though Jennifer was convinced otherwise.

"She'll go to the monastery." she declared.

Anna turned.

"As will Sabrina."

Jennifer neared.

"Why can't we prevent this...?" she questioned. "You know what happens if Harold finds them."

"That's why..." Anna retorted while retrieving a medium-sized satchel. "You'll see that Samantha receives these relics."

Jennifer nodded.

"I will, but I won't abandon her."

Soon after, she retrieved Sam's sacred emerald.

"I entrusted this to Cindy until Samantha ascended and since she has she'll need it to resist Harold's influence."

Anna gazed.

"You're conflicted and need to let Sam fulfill her destiny." she added.

Jennifer recoiled.

"Anna, if she returns to Saint Anthony's Sam will convert."

Anna sheltered.

"Yes..." She admitted. "Another regret I'll live with, but the future is preventable and I'll need your help."

"What about Sabrina...?" Jennifer whispered. "She's also borne the inclinations of the church."

"Then go now..." she advised. "And see that Sam's aware."

Hearing this, Jennifer sulked, but Anna was right. Besides, Paul's intent to sway Sabrina had failed and with Harold not only surviving but empowered his future was in jeopardy.

But in the end, Katherine was the one constant and the last obstacle between Harold and his daughters. However, as of today, her exile continues and all efforts to summon her have failed. Ergo, the day witches had to act alone if they intended to thwart the sovereign's plans.
