It had been eight agonizing months since Trina Sinclair and Jasmine Lloyd disappeared and regrettably Daniel had recently learned of their passing. As a result, he and Sean sat stunned by an outcome they'd hoped to avoid. Nevertheless, two women were dead and their murderer(s) had thus far evaded capture.

"It's unfortunate." He began while clutching a file.

"Worst possible scenario I'm afraid." Sean replied.

"Even so, it seems strange."

"Why's that?"

Standing, Stern slapped the file on the desk.

"How's Sabrina involved...?" he wondered. "More importantly, how'd a seventeen-year-old commit such an act alone?"

Sean shrugged.

"It's a mystery, my friend..." he answered. "Though, we'll know what happened once we find her."

"What if we're wrong?" Daniel questioned before thumbing through another folder.

"You haven't been yet, so trust those instincts..." he replied. "Now, what about the Solomon girl?"

Stern hesitated.

"The name keeps coming up..." he declared. "More so when the synagogue or sisterhood is involved."

"Strange don't you think...?" Thomas challenged after grasping the case file. "What about the others?"

Daniel shrugged.

"There's nothing except the basics..." he clarified. "Only, the cult involvement is as extensive."

Thomas arose and thought.

"What role does Luen play...?" he urged. "He seemed open, but somewhat evasive."

Stern agreed.

"He's protecting the congregation..." he admitted. "Otherwise I'm not worried."

Thomas grinned.

"You're always worried about something."

Stern smirked.

"If you say so, but Sabrina's hiding, and I intend to find out why."

Sean sneered.

"Or?"

Before Daniel could respond the phone rang and following a brief conversation Thomas observed with an anxious expression.

"Well?"

Daniel smiled.

"We have approval."
