All day, Alex was afflicted, knowing he'd betrayed Karen's trust by consulting the coven. For this reason, he repeatedly searched concealed belongings, seeking a private journal. (A ledger depicting Karen's recent thoughts and experiences). Although, amid sifting, Jessica and Jordan arrived, expectedly furious and distraught.

"Where is she...!?" she demanded, entering.

"Gone." he answered.

Vigorously, Jessica whisked through her dark red hair, scowling.

"To the mainland?"

Sulking, he paused, realizing only Karen knew for sure.

"I suspect America, but she's not the same."

Slowly, Jordan closed.

"What do you mean?"

"The way she sounded..." he clarified. "I'm certain Karen's invoked spirits."

"She doesn't have the expertise..." she proclaimed, looming. "Second of all, the ascension isn't complete."

Naturally, Karen acquired specific spells, expecting to bolster Nemisis's spirit. In light of this, Alex felt ashamed, because he'd acted against their will, aiding Karen's cause.

Correspondingly, Jessica's resentment heightened, knowing she was equally responsible. In whatever way, finding her daughter mattered most, and if memory served, she knew where to look.

"Stay out of this; we'll handle it." Jessica insisted as she and Jordan prepared to depart.

"I've never understood any of this..." Alex stated, looming. "But, I understand Karen."

Swiftly, Jessica glared.

"And..." he continued. "If assumptions are true, and you intend to save her, you'll need this."

Gradually, he'd unveil a ruby satin case and presented Karen's inherited gemstone.

"Where'd you get that?!" Jessica barked.

"Not important..." Alex retorted, offering the epoch. "Though, saving your daughter is."
