Luis marveled at the uncertainty in Sabrina's eyes. But, he'd helped her escape in light of Schultz and Landry's safeguards, or so he thought. The doors flew open when least expected, and Luis was thrust against a near partition. Then, the foyer flooded with flashlights and rambling voices. But, as the surroundings cleared, Sabrina was gone.
"Where is she!" Schultz demanded while gazing throughout.
Luis grinned.
"Somewhere you can no longer hurt her or her family."
Luis was immediately escorted from the house. Yet, as eyes lifted, an unnerving necessity to distinguish reality arose. At which point, he recalled Sabrina's expertise in Shamanism. In drawing things to a close, she occupied the doorway and kindled a singular flare. Tears streamed thinking of Samantha. Not to mention, relishing a last glimpse of the only home she'd ever known. Finally, she tossed the firebrand with misgivings and watched as the flames spread. Objects charred and memories faded, but everything was as it began and a new destiny awaited.
