"Echoes of Betrayal"

The floor was stained with red. When Hans got closer, he saw Sofia and Freya lying down, covered in red. Freya's beautiful birthday dress was ruined. He went to them, first sitting on the floor and holding Freya's head, placing it in his lap. He said, "Hey Frey, wake up. This is not a joke, please wake up. Please." Then he gently put her head down and moved to Sofia. "Hey, say something. Look, Freya is pranking me. Say something to her. Don't leave us like this. Please."

**Five years ago:**

Lilja: "Hey Eva, are you not going to eat? You were crying this morning."

Eva had a fight with Lilja, so she had not eaten anything since morning.

Lilja: "Hey, I'm sorry. Are you not going to forgive me?"

Sofia saw the drama and asked Eva to open the door calmly, but Eva didn't respond. After that, Sofia pushed her key under the door.

Hans: "Hey Gudrun, don't you think this is going too far?"

Gudrun: "What do you expect? They are teenagers, after all."

Sofia: "Hey, stop the act. I'm asking you because I dropped my key in your room last night. I'm telling you to pick up my key; it's not like I care about you or anything."

Eva, after hearing that, got really angry and started crying again. She woke up from her bed, searched for Sofia's key, saw it on the floor, picked it up, opened the door, and extended her hand to give the key. Instead of taking the key, Sofia grabbed Eva's hand and entered her room.

Eva: "I heard you say, 'I don't care about you.' Then why are you here to make fun of me?"

She said that while crying. Sofia wiped Eva's tears with her hand.

Sofia: "Listen, I'm sorry. I only said that so you would open the door. I know you're angry with Lilja, but she's apologizing. Why don't you forgive her? You haven't eaten anything since morning. Come with me to the kitchen; I'll cook whatever you want."

Eva: "You're lying. You like Lilja, Johan, Piotr, Jan, and Astrid more than me. You wouldn't even care if I died."

After hearing that, Sofia slapped her hard. Eva started crying harder but didn't say much, and went quiet. After the slap, Sofia's eyes filled with tears.

Sofia: "Don't you dare say that. Do you think words like that are a joke?"

Eva understood her mistake, hugged Sofia, and started crying again. After five minutes, they both came out of the room. Sofia was smiling, but the tear marks were still visible on Eva's face.

Hans: "So I assume your mission was successful."

Gudrun: "I can see the result."

Sofia: "Hey Hans, why don't you call me big sister?"

Hans: "I will if you feed me like you did these brats."

Sofia: "You're not a kid anymore. So I heard you and Kathy are going to become forensic scientists."

Hans: "You're quick to know that."

Sofia: "I know. Why don't you protect me? With a detective brain like yours, I think we have nothing to fear."

Gudrun: "Hey Hans, you've got a fan."

Everyone started smiling. From a distance, Astrid was watching how Sofia was holding Eva's hand. After seeing that, she felt jealous. Freya noticed and came to Astrid, holding her hand.

Freya: "Let's go. I think you're hungry as well. I'll make your favorite dish."

Astrid: "It's not like I asked you or anything," she said, turning her face away. Freya pulled Astrid's cheek and said, "You've grown up." She even took Lilja with her.
