What did he just say? Marry him? I've known him like three months max. Is he crazy? Maybe this is just the sex haze clouding his judgment. He has to know I'm not ready for that. This is too soon.
"What?" I ask him.
"I'm not proposing Honey. I'm asking if you see our future." He assured me.
I let out a huge breath and relaxed into the bed. "Yes I can see our future as long as you don't freak me out like this again." I laugh out.
Liam smiles at me before leaning down to kiss me. "As you wish." He whispered.
I cuddled into him before yawning.
"Go to sleep Honey, I love you." He says holding me close.
I finish my meeting with a potential client noticing I have about an hour before Liam will be here to pick me up. He said it would be business casual but this is also my first official meeting with his family. I'm sure this outfit is fine but is it perfect?
Leaving my office I go to my bathroom looking in the mirror. I could touch up my makeup maybe do something with me hair? I have it twisted up which looks fine on camera but does it look good in person? Am I overthinking this? Probably.
I am in my closet second guessing my outfit when I hear Liam call out for me.
"In the closet." I call out.
"Hey Honey. How was your meeting today? You look great." Liam says leaning down to kiss my forehead.
"So this looks okay?" I ask turning to him pulling at my flowy shirt and pencil skirt.
"Yes Honey you look great. You okay?" He asks giving me a look of concern.
"Just nervous." I answer grabbing some flats and slipping them on.
"I'm not going to leave you alone. You can always let me know if it's too much Honey." He grabs my face looking into my eyes trying to assure me.
"In every movie whenever someone says they won't leave their side that happens like 5 minutes after arrival." I say with an eye roll.
Laughing he kisses my lips then says, "While our life might seem like a movie right now. I don't plan to be like that in real life."
"We'll have to see I guess." I tease grabbing his hand and walking out the room with him laughing behind me.
Pulling up to the estate Liam looks nervous before saying, "I need to tell you something I didn't think about until just now."
Steading myself and trying to prepare for this all to go up in smoke I cup my hands together in my lap and stare out the windshield. "That is?" I grit out.
"It's nothing bad just kind of embarrassing." Liam grabs my hands and cups my face making me look at him.
I just nod at him so that he will just share this 'thing.'
"My government name isn't Liam. I go by Liam but my name is Uilliam. I hate being called Uilliam and just Grandad is the only one that calls me it." He rushes out.
All I can do is laugh. A full body laugh escapes me and I feel tears falling down my face as I can't stop myself. Looking at the blurry Liam I see him trying not to laugh with me.
Fanning my face to stop the tears I try to stop laughing.
"What is so funny?" Liam asks giggling at me.
"I wasn't expecting that. I mean I was prepared for this to go up in smoke..." I break off laughing again.
Liam wipes under my eyes with a smirk on his face. "Well I didn't want you to be confused when you hear it but while I hate that you're laughing at me I love that you're so happy."
