After Ty told me he wanted to get a tattoo I was probably just as excited as he was. He drew some awesome mashups of a bunch of band logo's and masks from some of his favorite artists along with a few pictures of daisy and some drum related pieces. I wanted to find an artist that would take his sketches and turn them into what he wanted.
I figured I'd ask around campus and see what places people recommend. After class I went home and pulled out my laptop checking the websites of a few of the shops. Some had forms online you could fill out to book a consult, others you had to call or book in person. I started filling out one of the forms and came across an unexpected snag.
There is a section on all the forms I looked at that asked about any medical conditions.
I knew we couldn't really lie about it but I didn't see why it would be an issue so I didn't. I contacted three shops online and they all got back to me within a day saying they couldn't help us.
It was a little discouraging, especially when none of them gave a reason. I called a few more shops and tried explaining the situation to them and after being turned down by two more the sixth shop I contacted actually had an artist that agreed to meet with us. I booked a consult for the following week and told Ty.
We talked more about having people over Friday after he got off work. I told him my classmates wanted to meet him and it would be a good opportunity to meet Andres new girlfriend.
"When did Andre get a girlfriend?" he asks looking at me wide eyed.
"Like two months after we got here. How have you not noticed?" I ask laughing at how unobservant he can be sometimes.
"Well shit, didn't take him long." Ty scoffs and I shake my head.
"Yeah well he's not exactly hard on the eyes. I'm not surprised some girl would scoop him up." I say and he gives me a look of pure disgust.
"That's my brother your talking about."
"And? He's cute, don't tell me you can't admit that, besides your not even technically related." I laugh and he squeezes his eyes shut and shakes his head.
Once we talked to everyone and told them to come over Friday our night was set.
Tyler's only on day four seizure free so I'm not expecting anything for a day or two yet. Seeing how his sleep is going to be off tonight I know tomorrow's going to be bad anyway.
He may as well have some fun tonight.
He wanted to make a bunch of appetizers when he got home but I told him he wasn't spending the night cooking so me and Andre grabbed some pizzas when we went for a liquor run.
As soon as we got home I had to laugh.
He made cupcakes anyway.
I swear he will always find an excuse for cupcakes.
