I woke up that morning and sighed, last night had been amazing.

I walked downstairs to hear the local news on.

"Apparently, There was yet another successful ball last night. However, this year we have a situation. The princess is nowhere to be found. The locals are calling it the 'Cinderella Case.' The girl was reported to have a gray dress, gray mask, a reddish brown color hair, and unknown eye color. Logan Davidson may have hired detectives, we're not sure. But honestly, Liz, what do you do in a situation like that?"

I stated incredulously at the screen. I had forgotten about this part of my stupidly realistic fairytale. I grabbed toast and ran upstairs. I shut my door and sighed, then I saw him.

Logan was sitting on my bed, clearly having come from the window.
"Hey, I didn't see you last night..."

"Yeah, I didn't go. I wasn't feeling well." I hated lying to him.

"Yeah, you're fine now." Uh oh.

"Yeah... just a stomach bug."

"You could have just told me."

"What?"

"For most people I would say that they just didn't like me but for you, I know what happened. You are going back home and you don't want anything to bring you back here. Why won't you just let me in? I love you Riley! But you can't seem to conquer your fear of having someone care about you more than themselves. Bye Riley, have a good life." He stared at me for a moment and then left.

I sighed, he was right. I was being an idiot but I didn't know how to fix it!

Then I realized what to do: I needed to call my fairy godmother.

I dialed Taylor's number and waited for her to answer.

When she picked up the phone, I filled her in.

She was the same as me but she had an idea,
"You have to tell him it was you."

"No!"

"Unless you want to lose him forever and don't you lie and say you can do it, we all remember the last time you tried, you have to."

"I... You're right. Bye, talk to you later."

I grabbed a hoodie and my keys.

With that I ran out the door and drove to Logan's house.

I pulled up to see tons of people and cars in the driveway. I hopped put of my car and realized: I still had my plaid pajama pants on.

I mentally face palmed and ran into the middle of the crowd to find Logan and Sadie making out while being photographed by paparazzi. I was shocked. Then I saw the necklace-MY necklace hanging around her neck.

I took a deep breath in and sighed, "Hey! That's my necklace!"

I yelled and received a gasp from the crowd.

Logan unlocked his lips from Sadie and stared at me. Someone screeched and Daphine came running out from the house, "You! You pesky little..."

She ran towards me and pulled back her hand to slap me, I ducked and she pushed me on the ground. I was about to be kicked when someone shoved Daphine back at the same time that someone grabbed me. I looked up to see Dylan yelling at Daphine and Dad holding me.

I stood up and marched towards Sadie, "That's mine."

She smirked, "The necklace or Logan?"

I paused and then stared at Logan, "Both."

Then all was quiet but for one single laugh. I looked a Logan as he laughed, "I knew you liked me!" He picked me up and spun me around, "I knew you had been the girl the whole time!"

I looked at him, "How?"

"Everyone thinks it's because of the necklace but I would have recognized those converse anywhere.

I leaned in to kiss him when someone ripped me away and threw me on the ground. "You liar! How dare you lie to the mayor's son!" Daphine kicked me in the ribs and I yelped.

Logan struggled to fight away from the paparazzi who had encircled us but he couldn't.

This was my battle but this time, I would fight it correctly,

"Daphine?"

"What now 'princess'?" She mocked me.

I stood up as best as I could and stated into the depths of her twisted soul, "I forgive you. Someone made you this way and you take it out on your kids. Me included. Dylan was strong enough to make it through but Sadie," I stared at her, "I'm sorry for what she's done."

Sadie broke down into tears. She ran to me, "I'm sorry Riley! You were amazing but I listened to her every word!" She cried and apologized again.

"Sadie! You're fine!" I pulled her in for a hug.

Daphine screamed and picked up a rock. She chucked it at my head.

I squeezed my eyes shut but nothing happened. I looked up to see Logan lying on the ground with a giant bruise on his shoulder.

"Ow." He mumbled.

I ran to him and sat down next to him, "You okay? What hurts?"

"Well, my heart hurts. You see, I don't have a girlfriend and having a hurting heart is lethal. So would you mind fixing it?" He looked at me hopefully.

"Not at all." I crashed my lips into his.

The police picked Daphine up while my dad apologized profusely for not paying attention to the fact that his wife (with whom he was filing a divorce) had been treating me like crap.

I smiled and excepted his apology. I walked over to Sadie and talked to her about her future life.

When I returned to Logan I received the first ever comment that had made me feel all bubbly inside, "That's my girl, or should I say princess?" I shoved him and he laughed.

"And that was how it went." I sighed to Taylor as she listened to my story.

She squealed, "Yay! Cinderiley gets a happy ever after!"

"Not yet," I pointed out, "But you're partially right. As of now, I have a current happily ever after."
