Two carry-ons dropped on the floor of my mom's apartment that morning.

My mom ran down the stairs, "Riley! Rick?" My mom looked at me confused and my dad and I shot into the long story.

After it ended, my mom looked at me surprised, "Riley! You got a boyfriend?"

I nodded, "Well... yeah."

"I'm only surprised because I figured that you and Isaiah would be a thing."

"Nope. Logan beats Isaiah any day of the week."

She laughed and then looked at Rick. "Riley, your father and I are going to have a conversation. Do you want to go unpack?"

"Sure."

I walked upstairs and texted Taylor.
Riley: Miss you so much already!

Taylor: Aw!I miss you too. Logan's a mess.

Riley: Haha, tell him that I miss him as well.

Taylor: Will do ;)

I sighed and not one minute later my phone rang.

"Hello?" I asked.

"Riles! You're okay right?"

"Yeah, thanks for checking on me Logan."

"Are you sure you can't come back?"

"Yeah. I have a life here..."

"You have one here too."

"A summer life."

"But you've kinda become my life! How am supposed to! protect you, talk to you, or be your boyfriend from half the country away?"

"Logan. You'll find a way, that's how you work."

"Just stay safe, okay?"

"You too."

"And if anyone hits on you, you're mine." He said protectively.

"Always."

"I miss you."

"I miss you a ton."

"Do you have to go?"

"Yeah, how'd you know?" I asked.

"Still your boyfriend. I know what that change in tone means."

"Haha, Bye Logan."

"I love you Riley."

"Love you too, Lo."

"I'll see you in two years. And be prepared, after that you're never leaving my sight again."

"I'll count down the Moments."

"Same."

"Goodbye Logan, I'll miss you."

"Bye, Love. I'll miss you too."

I hung up and then sighed. What was I doing? I loved Colorado but Florida also had a place in my heart.

I walked downstairs to find my mom and dad kissing.

"Um! I'll just walk into the er.... Kitchen for a um... sandwich! Yeah a sandwich!" I stumbled.

My mom stopped, "Riley! Oh how embarrassing!"

She stuttered and my dad laughed.

I attended the wedding that was held two months later.

With my new siblings that had been legally put in the custody of my family.

Dylan and Sadie were both ecstatic to finally be free of Daphine's wrath. The house my new family bought was gorgeous and all was right.
