Dylan, Sadie and I waved one last time to our parents and boarded the plane to Florida.
It had been decided that we would spend every summer with Taylor in Florida while Sadie and Dylan talked with their mom and visited their hometown.
Six hours later, Sadie, Dylan, and I were going our separate ways.
I hugged Taylor and promised to hang with her later.
Taylor threw me a bundle of clothes, "I know how you feel about cooperation when it comes to dresses and the like but you still have a few choices."
I smiled, "Thanks Mom."
I went into the bathroom and put on one of the outfits: it was high waisted shorts, a long sleeved striped tee, and gladiator sandals.
I threw the ensemble on and drove to Logan's. I walked to the door and knocked on his door.
An unfamiliar girl opened it.
"Umm... Like, hello?" She asked dumbly.
"Hi, like, is Logan here?" I answered sarcastically.
She stared at me enviously, "My boy? Yeah. I'm warning you though. You showed up when we were like, 'getting it on', if you know what I mean."
I grimaced and saw Logan run up from behind her.
"Riley!" He picked me up and spun me.
"I missed you. You were apparently busy."
"I missed you too! And yeah II've been really busy." He motioned to the girl behind him.
I wanted to yell at him but I kept it cool. The girl, who had brown long hair and paleish skin smirked at me.
"I'm Lani."
"Hi."
"Logan great, isn't he?"
I nodded, "Yup."
"I'm so lucky to have him."
That was it. I smirked at Logan, "Well I'd hang around but a) I don't have time to be a second choice and b) I have better things to do than be with female dogs," I looked at Lani, "And cheaters," A glare at Logan, "So, like, Ba-bye."
I balled my hands into fists and walked away.
"Riley!" I heard Logan's all too familiar voice yell.
He ran up behind me, "What are you talking about?"
I scoffed, "Really? You don't know?"
He shook his head no but it slowly stopped and the realization was shown on his face,
"Oh. You mean Lani?"I nodded as if I were talking to a two year old, "Yes."
Logan grabbed my hands, "No, Riley. I don't even like her!"
"Then what did you both mean by busy?"
"Lani said we were busy?"
"Yep, and it wasn't in those words."
"Ugh. I'm sorry Riley, I meant busy by I have been turning her down for the past week."
"Okay..."
"And I would never cheat on you."
"Sure."
"I wouldn't Riley," He cocked his head at me, "I think you wouldn't stand for it. I know who vandalized Chloe's ex-boyfriends car."
I smiled, "Love you too."
And I meant it. I really, truly did.
