KOI NO YOKAN

CHAPTER FIFTEEN

When the lock hit around 9 pm ay kinalabit ko na ang birthday boy, he was talking to Deroo but leaned in on my side and lent me his ear.

"Una na ako birthday boy," that made him snap his head at me, and his red lips parted.

"U-uwi ka na?" I nodded and smiled at him.

"Babalik na ako sa pastry bukas, eh. Tapos need ko pa puntahan si Hazael." I softly explained as I watched him stare at me intently.

He nodded and then licked his lips and put down the glass he was holding.

"Uwi na tayo." aalma pa sana ako pero tumayo na siya and then he called the attention of his friends.

Ano ba 'to?

"Uuwi na raw si Ithiel, at dahil ako ang nagdala sa kanya dito, ako na ang mag-uuwi sa kanya." he said and then waved a hand.

"Babalik ka?" Scalsky lifted his head and stared at Jathen, pati tuloy ako tumitig sa kanya.

"Hoy, bumalik ka." Madrous joined in and pointed at him.

"O-oo babalik ako," he said and then cleared his throat and then looked at me.

Alanganin akong tumayo and walked where my cousin is. I hugged her and kissed her cheek tapos gano'n din ginawa ko kay kuya Erreo and Peverelle.

"Bye, Ithiel. Salamaaaat!" I heard Madrous sing as he waved a hand at me and the other running on his hair.

I smiled and waved them all goodbye at kanya kanya naman sila ng sabi ng goodbye rin.

"Uuwi rin kami niyan, hihintayin lang namin bumalik si Jathen." Kuya Erreo told me that made me nod.

'Di ko nga alam kung babalik din 'tong isang 'to?

"Bye na." Jathen said and then pulled my hand inside and out of the house.

"Babalik ka?" he shook his head as he opened the front door and laughed.

"Hindi na 'no, ayoko na, pagod na ako uminom." he said and wear his facemask.

"Bakit sinabi mong babalik ka?"

"Kasi 'di tayto makakaalis kung 'di ko 'yun sinabi."

"'Di mo naman need na ihatid ako,"

"Shut up, Ma'am." that made me laugh as we entered his car and finally drove off.

I was checking my phone habang nagd-drive siya. I could feel that he kept glancing over at me.

"Are you sure you don't need anything? I can take you home without giving you anything, Ithiel, kanina mo pa 'ko sinasamahan." I smiled and shook my head.

"No need, kung gusto mo talaga bumawi or kung ano man 'yang nararamdaman mo, just give it to someone else, bless other people, okay na ako, kumain na nga ako ng handa at cake mo eh," nagtawanan kami sa sinabi ko but then he fell silent after.

"You think you can spare mo another two more hours of your time tonight?" kumunot ang noo ko at tinitignan siya.

"Why?" he glanced over at me again, turned the steering wheel, and smiled.

"You said bless somebody else," I nodded.

"That's right,"

"Then let's bless some people tonight," tumaas ang kilay ko sa sinabi niya but then didn't say anything and just waited for him.

Dumaan siya sa isang fast food chain and nag order sa drive-thru, he ordered a hundred pieces of rice meals.

"What are you doing?" I whispered at him and leaned in closer a bit after niyang makipag kamustahan sa mga staff na nasa window na kumuha ng order niya.
