"Magandang araw po." I smiled as I glanced over at Hazael, nagpatuloy lang siya sa pagbibigay ng food right now sa mga tao and I did the same as I stood next to him.
It's his shop's anniversary and he decided to celebrate it by feeding people in local schools today. He'll be doing the same thigh tomorrow kasama ng buong team niya, and I was just grateful to be a part of it and to witness everything.
It's been two days since I had a talk with Jathen about my acceptance to an art school in Japan, I haven't got any chance to tell Hazael and kuya Erreo, I'm not sure if Kwes already told him but for today, I have the chance to tell it to Hazael.
It's almost noon when we finished with the first school today. He let the workers and people who helped him today to have a rest and treat themselves as we went out to have lunch.
As for the both of us, we decided to go back to our favorite tapa place since medyo malapit lang kami don.
"Regular order right?" I nodded and smiled at him, he looks so tired but he kept his posture firm, mukhang 'di nagising ng 4 am ngayong araw.
I sighed and started thinking about how I told him about my being accepted to an art school, I remember telling him about it before but not really announcing that I would try to apply, kay Kwelasin ko lang sinabi ang plano na 'yun but for others, I really didn't tell it.
At first, I was just taking chances and keeping faithful, I didn't know what would happen or if it would be answered, but now that I have received the answer, I'm just grateful.
"Sa shop mo gusto kumain?" I blinked at him and slowly nodded.
"Pwede rin," he nodded and then went back inside the shop and took our order.
Naglakad kami pabalik sa shop niya and stayed to where we usually eat our lunch kapag nagwo-work kami pareho sa pottery.
I watched him like a kid, opened the take-outs, and then prepared our lunch. I smiled when he handed me a bottle of water and when he put his eyes on me, alam ko na agad na want niya na mag-pray kami para makakain na siya.
I did what he wanted and closed my eyes, I let him lead it, muttered Amen, and opened my eyes, I watched him make little dances as he held his utensils.
"You okay? Sasama ka pa naman bukas, 'di ba? We're planning a lot before Christmas, we would like to visit the orphanage too and give the kids some gifts, may plano ba sa pastry?" I nodded as I took a bite and immediately closed my eyes, wala talagang makakatalo sa tapa na 'to.
"Alam mo naman na hindi na mawawala sa pastry 'yun every year, papa will join us kaya tuloy na tuloy na, I think it will all depend on the dates for each, kailan ba sa 'yo?" he took his time to chew his food well before he answered me.
"Hmm, we were thinking around twenty-two? Kayo ba?" I nodded
"Kwes wants to do it on the twenty-third." he nodded and took a sip of his drink.
"How about the Studio Base?"
"I think they are planning to as a whole band and then sasama na lang nila ang studio, that's what I heard from the management of the Studio Base, so baka isasama na lang nila sa UpHolstery, I think around twenty or twenty-one too?" tumango-tango siya habang ngumunguya at nakikinig ng mabuti.
"That good, that's good, I know they do that every year too, Kaelen and Peverelle are the ones who fixed it, before naka-separate ang Studio Base but since it's the same owners, might as well combine them," tumango ako ng dahan dahan and suddenly, silence embrace the two of us.
Nagpatuloy kami sa pagkain ng tapsilog habang naka-dungaw sa labas ng shop and watching the people drive passed and walked past us, I enjoyed the scenery outside his shop and how calm it is right now as we eat our favorite tapsilog.
