CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE

"Dito na pala kayo," Eloah, Sixto and also Elexis welcomed us when we arrived at their house of the boys. Tinotoo nga nila na magluluto si Madrous katapos namin sa music fest at dumiretso agad sa bahay nila since nandito na rin 'yung mga 'di nakaabot kanina.

"You look pretty, Ithiel!" Eloah greeted and then hugged me, ganoon din ginawa nila Elexis and Sixto.

"Kanina pa kayo nandito ba't 'di pa kayo nagluto?" Madrous' voice beamed and then he started checking the food and other things sitting on the table.

"Eh, nautusan kaming i-ready lang lahat pero 'di simulan, ikaw daw taya, eh." Eloah defended and then went back to his phone.

"Anak ng," tawa niya sabay iling, he wore the cup he have on his head backwards and then he nodded, mukhang ginagahan na nga siya na magluto kasi 'di na niya inalis ang mga mata niya sa lamesa.

Some of the members went upstairs to change their clothes, and some of them rested in the living room pero ako, dumiretso na ako dito para panoorin si Madorus magluto, he looks like a kid when he's preparing food.

"Help mo 'ko, Ithiel?" He said when he saw that I was the only one left looking at him in the backyard with him. I smiled widely and nodded. Eloah did not leave his seat pero nakatuon lang siya sa phone niya.

"If you need me to," I said, making him chuckle. He nodded tapos nilobo niya ang pisngi niya habang nakatitig sa isang lalagyanan ng meat.

Iniisip niya yata paano niya 'yun lulutuin, the noise from the boys did not subside though kahit tatlo na lang kami sa backyard.

Nanood lang ako sa kanya nung nagsimula siya mag-prep ng ingredients, he chucked at me when I offered help and he let me, naghiwa na lang ako ng ibang ingredients na kailangan niya, nagpabaga naman siya kasi ihaw ang trip niya yata ngayon.

"Hellooo..." I raised my head to see Keetso, may dala dala siyang mga coffee drinks na ibinaba niya sa lamesa, he leaned down and then patted my temple using his cheek kaya natawa kami parehas.

"Hello," I said and then eyed the coffee drinks he brought, umupo siya sa katabi kong upuan and he brought out his phone.

"Ba't nandito ka?" Madrous asked when he went back to the table and then unang uminom sa mga drinks na dala dala ni Keetso.

"Ang ingay ni Deroo sa loob," he said and then smiled.

"Sinabi mo pa, bakit kaya ako naririto 'no?" Eloah jumped in, making me smile.

"Yow, yow, yow," we snapped our heads to the entrance and saw Jathen entering the backyard, he raised his eyebrows at Keetso and then he eyed the drinks.

"Yow, sakto!" he said happily and then patted Keetso on his shoulders as he stood behind him.

"Musta music fest? Sorry, 'di ako nakahabol, iniwan ko na nga lang 'yung shop, eh." ngumiti ako at tumango.

"Masaya! Sama na kayo next time, marami pa namang next time 'di ba, Ithiel?" I nodded at Madrous.

"Oo naman, 'di naman 'yun matatapos, sama kayo next time, masaya, sana rin next time na pagsama niyo magperform na rin kayo."

"Ithiel performed, 'di namin alam na magaling ka kumanta!" I shook my head and sighed.

"I don't do it often now," nangingiting sabi ko.

"And why not, miss." naupo na si Jathen sa kabilang upuan and then he put his arm around the back of my chair.

"Marami lang ibang need gawin." I said quietly pero tumitig lang siya sa akin. I moved my eyebrows up and down tapos umabot ng isang coffee drinks at napainom.
