We left the yacht as soon as I got the call, and I texted Lauren to meet me at the house.

My leg was bouncing uncontrollably, and Beyoncé said, "Baby, you need to calm down."

"Calm down?" I laughed angrily. "I'm beyond mad. I haven't been this pissed since Jayceon and I had that fight years ago. He got a scar to remember that shit. I let my guard down after Amora got sick, and he took advantage. But now, I'm done."

Beyoncé said, "Bae, I'm calling your mama."

"I don't care who you call," I snapped.

I grabbed my phone and called Megan, putting her on speaker.

"Where the fuck are you?" I yelled when she answered.

"Uh, home," she replied, her voice shaky.

"How did you know my place was on fire?" I demanded.

"He texted me fire emojis. He mentioned wanting to do this before, but I thought I talked him out of it," she said.

I laughed bitterly. "Bitch, when I'm done with him, your kids are gonna be mourning your body too."

I hung up, and Beyoncé looked over, placing her hand on my thigh.

"I love you," I said.

She looked at me with concern. "I love you too, but I need you to calm down. I've never seen you like this."

"I can't calm down," I said. "My babies live here. He's fucking crazy and obsessed."

"We'll let the police handle it," Beyoncé said gently.

"Oh no, baby. We're letting Cookie handle it," I replied, leaning back smiling.

"Who's Cookie?" she asked, looking confused.

When we pulled up to the house, I saw it blocked off. Half of it was still burning, and firefighters were working hard to put it out. I jumped out of the car, ignoring Beyoncé's calls.

My mom, Lauren, Solange, Kelly, and Nipsey were there, rushing towards me. I pushed past them, heading straight for the officers and firefighters.

As I approached the scene, I saw the firefighters still battling the flames. I made a beeline for Officer Harris, who was talking to some other officers.

"Hey, I'm Onika Maraj," I said, trying to keep it together.

"Hi, I'm Officer Harris," he said, shaking my hand. "We've confirmed it's arson. Someone deliberately set this fire."

I already knew that, but I played it cool. "Arson? Are you sure?"

"Yeah, we're sure. Do you have any idea who might've done this?"
