"Mommy I got it" Amora said.

We were in the kitchen making breakfast for the birthday girls, who were still sleeping. I was surprised that the twins were still asleep; they usually wake up early, but not today.

They must know it's their special day.

I still couldn't believe I gave birth to not one but two little girls on Beyoncé's birthday. It looked like I'd be broke every year on this date.

"You sure? cause remember when you and Mama tried to bake a cake?" I asked, and she laughed.

"Mommy, that's petty. You're remembering that?"

I scrunched up my face, looking at her. "What happened to my little baby? You're so grown up now."

All my babies were growing up, and it made me want to cry. I took the day off work since it was Friday anyway, letting Amora stay home.

We were planning a small gathering later for the twins and Beyoncé, an intimate event with family and friends.

"Well, I'll be 8 soon," she said.

"Girl, your birthday isn't until May of next year. Relax," I said, waving her off.

I watched her crack an egg into the bowl, and she did a really good job.

"Good job, Mama."

"Thank you, Mommy," she said, cracking another egg for me. "Mommy, are you going to have another baby?"

I almost choked on my spit. I hated when she asked things like this because last time she mentioned it, I ended up pregnant. I didn't need her speaking this into existence right now.

"Not anytime soon. Why?" I asked.

"Because I like it like this for now."

I laughed at her comment and said, "Are you saying I have too many kids right now or something?"

"Yes, Mommy. The twins are a lot. We don't need another crying baby around here," she sighed, and I playfully pushed her as she giggled.

"You know Mommy loves you and I'm so proud of how strong you are. You're stronger than I could ever be going through things like this," I told her.

Her face scrunched up as if she was going to cry, and I saw her wipe her eyes.

"What's wrong, baby?" I asked, hugging her as she sobbed. I lifted her up and wiped her eyes. "Talk to Mommy."

"B-because you love me so much, Mommy," she cried.

"And I always will. You're my first baby. I love you with all my heart. Have you been feeling okay?" I asked.
