On a day that was bright, Elena was speaking excitedly with Adonis to a smaller business owner. They had invested in the owner's branch of clubs and restaurants, and met with her to settle minute details. "Ah, today is so nice!" She clapped, looking up at the sky, "clouds always paint the sky with character, more than a clear sky could," she admired the range of white puffs that dotted the greenish-blue of the sky.
"They say less is more," Adonis also looked up while holding Elena close, "I disagree," he claimed, also enjoying the clouds. Elena giggled and covered her mouth, her husband squeezed her waist and looked down at her curiously,
"Have you seen how beautiful the sky gets by the coast?" She tilted her head and smiled at the woman they were speaking to,
"My goodness! Even beyond that!" She nodded, "a finer detail in life we can all enjoy," she sighed, "ah, but back to business!" She turned and presented the building to the pair, "the smallest of my branch," she introduced. A large club, with all glass on the second tier and a lavish inside, "come down to the basement, it's cooler there," she urged, smiling,
"You dazzle us with the worst of your roster!" Adonis sang easily, the woman's cheeks warmed and she looked away, flustered, "don't get shy now," he chortled, "with gall like that, we'll be wonderful business associates," he offered a hand before freezing. He looked behind himself and his wife, she also looked back at the feeling of being watched overcoming her. And what a terrifying sight it was to see someone jogging towards them. Though the man's jogging would be equivalent to her sprinting, they were tall and covered ground.
A heavy sigh, Adonis offered, holding onto his wife and feeling his face fall in distaste at the sight. Reflexes as fast as his, it was hasty how he pulled his wife behind him and for the general public to see, he kicked. Air moved with the force of that kick, and it was impressive how in a suit, he managed to look so graceful. A kick that powerful would have killed the average woman with ease. But the pair were shocked to see the pursuer bend below such a kick and continue his advancement to Elena, who froze up. It wasn't normal for someone to simply have the reflexes fast enough to evade Adonis, because Adonis wasn't normal at all. He wore a cropped tailcoat and a tie, dusty green if that was significant at the moment. Elena felt she had to take note of his clothes, as he wrapped his arms around her and sprinted away with her.
"Elena!" Adonis barked in pure rage, so loud it felt to vibrate the concrete at people's feet. She didn't know how to react, she had never been kidnapped before, and with the height of the man, was she even able to retaliate? He felt nearly twice her size, taller than Odele, who stood at a brag worthy 6'4", lest people be reminded. It didn't feel real, how the streets cleared of the people in the way, out of fear of getting hurt themselves. She watched how her husband made haste, sprinting after the pair. Again, admirable for the CEO of Japan's largest electricity provider and 75% of all of Japan's entertainment districts to simply keep up and take so much initiative.
"Adonis!" She called back as if that would do anything, her husband seemingly appeared behind the man, who spared a glance back and hugged her closer. It was strange to say it felt protective, that embrace. Coming from her kidnapper, it was ironic to say she felt somewhat safe. But what else would she do? She never learnt to fight, she couldn't defend herself here. The man stopped in his tracks, turning away from the strike of Adonis and watching the missed strike. The pair could acknowledge his reflexes and speed competed that of Adonis.
She closed her eyes and tensed, hearing someone get hit. Her husband cursed and suddenly, wind was whipping past her again. When she opened her eyes to feel tears prickle against her eyes, she couldn't see her husband anywhere near. How long had she closed her eyes for? Surely not long. How had they travelled to such a desolate place in such a short time? How did this man manage to outrun her husband?
