They arrived at the airport, Kato woke up before Cassandra did and simply let her sleep comfortably. He liked the fact that she held his hand in this world as well. After their first meeting in his world, she never slept without holding his hand. After all, the one time she did without doing so, she was treated like she was defenceless and Sora terrorised them. Maybe it was just in her nature to want to be a part of the action.
She woke up when he pinched the back of her neck and she tugged his hand towards him as an act of defence. Though he didn't actually move, he was expecting it. She shook off the fatigue and looked around, Tenshi was already checking his phone for how much time they had left until Irū arrived, as well as the gate they had to go to. He turned back to see Kato with his hands up as Cassandra prodded a finger into his chest,
"I'm carrying my own stuff! I'm stronger anyway. Not that this is heavy." She picked up the baggage and proved it by doing bicep curls with it. He nodded and Tenshi scoffed,
"Just pick both of them up." He mumbled, Kato wrapped an arm around her waist, picking her up and hearing her curse and protest as he carried both her and her bag inside. Tenshi was amazingly amused as they walked in and caught the attention of everyone. She kneed his stomach and winced,
"God!" She cursed. It was like kneeing solid wood. "I think I broke it," she muttered and Kato put her down instantly to check she could stand. She could stand fine and as she held his shoulders and shoved him down onto the floor, he clutched his chest.
"You hit my chest," he offered his straight face he put on once arriving to the airport still and she froze,
"Wait, did I? Oh are you okay?" She got on her knee to check and he wrapped his arms around her in a bear hug, "agh! You ass! Are you lying!?" She resisted against his locked arms as Tenshi walked ahead,
"The two of you are so embarrassing," he called back, Kato let go and went up ahead,
"You were lying weren't you!?" She poked his back,
"Nothing would happen if you did anyway. But you think I have heart problems." He claimed. Because she did in his world after seeing the state of him. In fact, she was there when Kato got hit in the chest. So of course she thought he had heart problems.
"It's like you read my mind." She grumbled as they walked along, he nodded, the soul never changed.
"Is your knee okay though?" He asked,
"It's like your muscle fibres are pagoda roots. Why are they so damn firm?" She narrowed her eyes.
"Average muscle mass is usually able to be developed when a man is... what... 15-25... so 20 on average." Tenshi pondered aloud, "Mateo has had a head start of... how long? I forgot." He confessed.
"8... so a 12 year advantage." He mumbled and realised he may have to add another four years - muscle memory wasn't the same as general thoughts. "Maybe... 16." He claimed.
"And he gets dense muscle mass from me, so not only is he heavy, he's been naturally strong." Tenshi bragged. So that was why his grip strength didn't match his appearance.
"Ugh. Was this a condition from your mum's side?" She wondered.
"Muscle mass can bulk when anyone from her side is 10 at most... my uncle at 9; I was at 8..." he crossed his arms.
"So what, you have a 12 year head start? That gives you the muscle of what... a 29 year old? Cheating!" She claimed. It was actually of a 33 year old man who was raised under the military.
"Why do you think Camilla is actually stronger than she looks?" Tenshi recalled. Of course, no one other than Irū and Tenshi could see how strong Camilla was because the others were stronger than her by a good few levels. But Camilla herself was surprisingly strong and her arms didn't hide that. Maybe because, as Tenshi found out through Kato and the Tenshi from the other world, she explored a lot. She was climbing and sprinting almost all the time. Her sense of direction was impeccable.
