A week passed far too quickly for anyone to enjoy past Kato and his family. Before he knew it, he was getting ready with Irū for her wedding. The only thing he had to hope for was that the Fukushima's weren't invited (they weren't).
Being adorned in so much gold and vibrant colours (unfitting for Irū, a woman of mild colours for her mild personality), she was clearly nervous. To add, she wasn't used to how decorated she looked in terms of hair and makeup (again, a woman who lacked vibrant hairstyles and exciting makeup). But she didn't say anything. There was a knock on her door, she hummed and heard it open slowly. Their house was actively filled with extended family and decorated for the occasion. Kato was on the other side, she could tell by how discreetly the door was opened otherwise and the fact he didn't simply stride in. "Father... has been busy all morning. I don't know where he is." He began, Tenshi was with Yae, "so... I'll accompany you, if you'd... like," he offered quietly.
"Come in." She couldn't help but smile at the mild-mannered boy, who stuck his head in and looked at Irū. She stared back and, quite like the sight of him on Eid, his cheeks warmed and he covered his mouth. "Ah, if you react like that, I might actually enjoy the look," she chortled, turning back to the look of her in the mirror. How her bangles jingled with her every move. He closed the door behind him and looked at her,
"What don't you like?" He was already taking care of her hair himself. She was a calm and collected woman usually, even when she was proposed to, she only gave an amused smile at how Soji reacted to her reaction - so calm he didn't realise he even asked. But having to confess to what she didn't particularly like about herself wasn't something she was proud of doing as it was. And to see that he seemed to know exactly where to go, she wondered what miracle child her brother had in another life. And also, how happy she was in a world quite like this one, where Tenshi was with Elena. After all, Elena didn't seem too enjoyable in her eyes. Not in this life.
"I suppose you know." She smiled at him from the mirror and saw how he got the comb.
"Who did your hair?" He whispered.
"One of your aunts." She chortled.
"Kick them out." He advised and she covered her mouth with laughter. His eyes only shone brighter at her entertainment.
"And what did you tell them to ease them off your back?" She looked at him again.
"I'm dad's coworker." He replied. Fair enough, he had the knowledge to play off that lie. And he didn't look all too related to them when he covered his eyes. Though with how intrusive the family was, she was surprised at how he hadn't had his blindfold pulled off. Then again, he was too tall usually - he was crouching to comb her hair. "Will they mind me being in here...?" He wondered and glanced back.
"And when did I care," she replied, having her hair fixed. He turned her around,
"Your eyes are pretty... don't wear these lashes." He shook his head and pulled them off, "but I like the eyeliner." He decided and Irū remained eternally entertained at his taste. Was it from Elena?
"Where did you get such a feminine sense of style?" She wondered and he tried to remember himself.
"I... clung onto my mother when I was younger..." he explained, "and Elena loves to talk."
"Is that so?" She liked hearing him talk about himself.
"Also... I've seen you dress up for balls and other events... I know what looks best suits you." He claimed with calm confidence.
"Don't touch her face!" A voice exclaimed. A familiar, melodic and charming voice that Kato hadn't heard in years, "you won't be able to do it!" The girl whined and he was scared to look up.
