No Strings Attached

Chapter 8

Asami was the first one to wake up at 7 in the morning. She remembered falling asleep with Korra big spooning her, but waking up she found herself big spooning Korra.

Asami enjoyed this feeling, being able to wake up next to someone. She hasn't had this in a really long time.

She released Korra and turned over to leave till the same arm from last night wrapped around her waist, this time pulling her in. She felt Korra nuzzle herself against Asami's back.

"Korra, wake up" she tried telling the girl but she only got a hum in response "Korra" Asami turned around now face to face with the sleeping girl. She put her hand on Korra's cheek "Korra, wake up" Asami said as she rubbed her thumb on Korra's cheek

Asami's heart felt heavy when Korra slowly opened her eyes, her piercing blue eyes took over Asami's view. Asami was stuck staring at her eyes, but she wasn't alone. Korra couldn't stop staring at Asami's green eyes, but since Asami was facing the window, the sun glowed over her, especially her eyes revealing a hint of gold. She's never seen eyes like Asami's, she was truly perfect.

Asami couldn't hold herself back, she kissed Korra. Korra melted into her lips, this time the kiss was different. It was softer, slower, it was more passionate than the others she experienced with Asami. Maybe Asami genuinely had feelings for Korra.

Korra broke the kiss "What was that for?" Korra questioned

"Just because" Asami shrugged with a smile and got off the bed and started to get ready. Korra did the same.

Korra was ready first and watched as Asami was getting ready to put on makeup. Asami noticed Korra was just sitting on the bed watching her. "You don't have to leave when I leave" Asami said thinking the girl was waiting on her

"I know, I just have nothing better to do" Korra shrugged "it's not like I have work today" She pointed out

"Oh that reminds me, pass me that bag" Asami was pointing to a briefcase. Korra did as told and handed the girl the bag.

Asami finished up her simple makeup and reached in the bag taking out a laptop

"What are you doing?" Korra asked

"Seeing if that background check of yours is done" Asami said opening her emails "I got the email and hour ago" She said about to click onto it only for the laptop to be closed with a tan hand on top of it "hey?!" Asami looked up at Korra

"Asami, how well do you know me?"

"What? Where is this coming from?"

"Just answer the question" Korra demanded

"Alright fine, I don't know anything about you" Asami said "why are you asking me?"

"Because Asami, I want you to know that everything you're going to read on here is a lie"

Asami was now even more curious on what's on the email. "Korra..."

"Look, I want you to read that email as my boss, Ms. Sato, after, I'll say the truth to you, but with you as Asami" Korra said wanting to separate both, the hard working boss, Ms. Sato, and the person she has a relationship with, Asami.

"Alright fine" Asami said, she opened the email and read everything "you're clean..." this made Asami more confused "you can come back to work tomorrow"

"Ok, now, I don't know that, you didn't read that in front of me, ok? I want you when you go to work, to call me, to let me know I can come back to work as of tomorrow" Korra said while Asami was trying to follow along "Starting now, you're Asami, someone that I'm getting to know and have a special kind of relationship with, not my boss"
