—Korra's story—

Korra was waiting for her father to pick her up from school. She waited with Bolin and Mako. They played in the playground for a bit till
The sound of the horn caught there attention.

Korra looked over seeing her parents. Normally it was either mom or dad, never both. So she was happy to them together. "Bye guys"

"Bye Korra" the brothers said as the girl ran off to the car.

Korra's mother, senna got out the car as Korra ran to her. She opened the door and helped her daughter get into her car seat.

"How was school sweetie?" Tonraq as his daughter

"It was ok" Korra smiled she noticed how silent her mother was. Normally her mother did the talking.

Korra looked out the window as her father drove home. The music in the car stopped playing because Tonraq was getting a call. He was playing on ignoring it.

"Why don't you answer it?" Senna spoke "I'm sure she would love to hear about how you picked up you daughter from school with your wife"

"Are we seriously doing this now?" Tonraq was getting annoyed

"I've been very silent about this and it's been going on for far too long Tonraq" she argued

Korra continued to look out the window. She saw as the sun was being covered by dark clouds and rain started to fall.

Korra watched as the droplets hit the window. She tried counting them but lost track and started over then ended up giving up. She then watched them race to the bottom of the window.

Out of no where the sound of the car's horn brought Korra back to reality only for her to see and on coming car enter their lane as it slipped in the rain. The cars collided.

The other car was bigger, having Korra's family car take more damage. Korra looked up seeing her father passed out on the airbag that came out the steering wheel. She couldn't see her mother since was behind her and the seat blocked her view.

The car door opened on the driver said "sir, are you ok?" A pedestrian came in trying to wake Tonraq. He was bleeding from his head. The woman checked for his pulse "he has a pulse, Call for an ambulance she yelled"

The next second the passenger door opened a man stood there "the airbag didn't work" he said and checked senna "she didn't make it"

Korra was trying to figure out what's going on but she felt light headed. The woman assisting her father made eye contact with Korra "shit, there's a little girl in the back"

With a second the door for Korra opened. Sirens filled the streets. The man that opened Korra's door took her out the car. As he walked towards the ambulance, the paramedics came running towards him to check on Korra.

Another team went for the others.

Everything felt silent for Korra. They sat her in the ambulance as she watched the two cars covered with paramedics.

She watched as her mother was pulled out of the vehicle. Lifeless. They laid her to the ground checking her for any sign of chance to save her, but got nothing.

Korra's father was in a stretcher being pulled to the ambulance. His head was covered in blood, his arm was broken and so was his nose which he was also bleeding from.

Korra then noticed the paramedics pulling a man out of the other vehicle. He was able to walk to the side. To get checked, the only thing he had was a broken arm.

"Hey, what's your name?" The paramedic asked Korra who didn't say a word. He couldn't blame her. "Ok, I just wanna check to see if you're okay, I see you don't have and broke bones, but I want to you look at my finger, I just want to check your eyes." He held up his finger as a small light went side to side another paramedic stood behind him "she's in shock, we need to take her to the hospital, we gotta watch her carefully, we don't want her to go unconscious"
