"Watch out, Lucas, focus!" my coach yelled.

I felt her eyes on me.

"Down!" she shouted.

I obeyed, locking him up and bringing him down.

I looked at her and she nodded.

"Relax, girl, you gave a little help..."

"Time to go," she told her coach as she took off her boxing gloves.

"Okay, but be careful with your hand. Take this cream and apply it twice a day."

She listened and took the cream.

The coach left, and she got ready.

I looked at her.

"You need to defend yourself better," she said, and I looked at her seriously.

She tried to leave, but I turned her back, grabbing her by the arm and making her look at me.

"We're in a gym, if you touch me again, I'll scream!" she said, pulling her hand away.

"You were lucky I didn't say anything," I replied.

Did she just threaten me?

I stepped closer to her.

She looked at me and then outside where the coach was, raising her eyebrow.

"Do you want something?" she asked, and I walked away angrily.

POV Emma

I couldn't believe I hadn't trembled. This confrontation was something I'd never done before, but it was worth it...

But tomorrow... We wouldn't be in a gym, but at school. No one would care...

I got home and took a shower.

I lied down and fell asleep.

My alarm went off nonstop. I got up, turned it off, and headed to the bathroom.

I chose my blue jeans with a black shirt.

I put on my Vans and brushed my hair.

I packed my bag and left.

I saw Mia waiting for me outside the school.

"Good morning," she said.

"Don't worry, I'm fine."

"I'm glad," she hugged me.

"Emma, why is your hand bandaged?"

"I got hit in boxing yesterday."

"Are you sure he didn't do it on purpose?"

"Shall we go? The bell will ring."

She looked at me and we headed inside the school.

We went upstairs to the classroom and sat at the back.

I saw Lucas coming, leaving something on my desk, and sitting across from us.

It was the cream... That's why I thought I forgot something.

I looked at him and took the cream, putting it in my bag.

"What was that?"

"He goes to the same gym as me."

"I gave him some trouble. I'll tell you later."

I smiled and pulled out my phone to scroll through it.

My phone vibrated.

Don't say too much to your best friend, or you'll pay for it later...

Guess who it was.

Where did you find my phone?

None of your business ;)

It actually concerns me a lot.

Watch how you talk...

Oops, the teacher walked in. Talk to yourself?

I typed and closed my phone. He looked at me angrily.

My phone vibrated hundreds of times, but I didn't open it.

It kept going even during the lesson.

He looked at me, and I looked back at him.

I opened it, because it was distracting me.

Don't write me off!!!

I'll talk later, you won't get away with this.

Open the goddamn phone!

I want to attend the lesson, please!

I said and closed my phone.

He looked at me angrily and closed his phone too.

The bell rang.

"Go get some coffee," I told Mia, giving her my money. She went to get coffee before the cafeteria got crowded.

Everyone left the classroom, and I went to grab my phone from my bag. I turned around and saw him right in front of me.

"When I text you, you'll reply!"

"Not during class."

"WHENEVER I FEEL LIKE IT, I'LL TEXT YOU."

"Can you move out of my way?"

"Are we sticking our tongues out now? You didn't even dare to look at me before!"

"You said you want me to look at you when I talk to you, that's what I'm doing!"

"Get yourself together, or do you want me to put you in your place?"

I looked at him with an ironic glance.

Of course, I didn't know where I was getting the courage to say all this. I was genuinely on the verge of having a heart attack.

He grabbed my throat and trapped me against the wall, without hurting me. I looked at him and started to worry about myself, but it must have shown in my expression, making him smile.

That's when I found my courage. I looked at him and said, "Bad move." I took his hand, bent it back, making him wince. But he trapped me with both of his hands.

"You still don't know well!" he said, laughing.

"No, you don't know that I've been training since I was six," I told him and threw him down.

He looked at me with a surprised expression.

I winked at him and stopped at the door.

"You still don't know well, do you?" I said and walked away.
