"Are you sure?"
He asks me once again.

I nod my head positively.
Lucas walks in with Lydia, smiling brightly.

Old fool... but it turns out he's smart and I'm the idiot.

I ignore him as the teacher enters the classroom.
We start the lesson, and I sit down, taking notes on what the teacher says.

After ten minutes, the bell rings. I pack my things and head out with Mia.
Behind us, he walks casually.

Austin spots me and comes over to hug me, while Mia heads toward Alex.
"How are you?"

"I'm fine."
I say, even though I don't want to admit I'm feeling terrible, especially since he's looking at me.

"Tell me you didn't cry again."
I shake my head negatively.

"Did you tell Mia about it?"
What exactly should I tell her? That I fell for the school player, that he made empty promises and I believed him? I don't think so. I know she's my best friend, but I can't bear to tell her the truth.

He looks at me and sighs.
"You don't need to keep hurting yourself for him."

"Also, he's been staring at you the whole time we've been talking; he hasn't taken his eyes off you."

"I really don't want to hear anything more about him."

The bell rings, and we go back for another lesson.
I keep thinking about Lucas.
Well, I think I'm completely done with him.
I'll go to his house and act like nothing's wrong...
We'll be two strangers. I'll call my aunt to see if I can finally go home.

The bell rings again, bringing me back to reality.

"Are we going for coffee now? Will you come?"
Mia asks.

"Um, no, I'll stay."
I tell her.

"Emma, what's wrong? Can you tell me..."

"Nothing, I'm fine."
I respond, but she looks at me and sighs.

"Do you want me not to go?"

"What are you saying? Just go, I just don't feel like it."

"Okay."
She says sadly, grabbing her bag and heading out.

I sit down and start scrolling on my phone.
My phone buzzes with notifications.
It's Lucas.

"Come behind the school."

No, I won't go, I don't want to hear anything from him anymore.

"If you want explanations."
He texts again, and I glance at the screen.

I get up from my chair and start walking behind the school.

I see him sitting against the wall.

"What do you want?"
I ask, looking at him.
I try to act as casually as possible.

"I came to see your face after your disappointment."
He says, smiling proudly.

"Honestly, I have nothing to say; I'm perfectly fine, and I don't understand what you're thinking or what you believe in that little head of yours."

"Oh, come on, Emma, don't tell me you didn't feel anything from everything we went through."

"Hmm, let me think... Nothing at all. I think I made it clear to you many times."

"Yeah, sure."

"Though you still haven't explained what's going on with this whole situation, why did you deceive me and make me believe you were in love with me so I'd do the same?"

"Although it didn't work, they all say you're such a bore."

"If you don't like us, go running back to your little girls."
I say, winking at him, but as I turn to leave, he grabs my arm, pushing me against the wall and pinning us together.

I look at him.

"What are you doing?"

"Oh, come on, Manu, it's obvious I made you fall for me."

"You have a high opinion of yourself, and you don't even have the right to call me that."

"Manu plays tough."

He gazes at me and then looks at my lips, placing one hand on my waist. I feel a wave of electricity coursing through my body as he smiles mischievously.

He kisses me, and I try to stop him with all my strength, but the more I resist, the more he presses his lips against mine again and again.

Eventually, I surrender to him, I know it's a huge mistake, but I can't help it anymore...
He pulls back from the kiss, looking at me with a raised eyebrow.

"You can't hide anymore, Emma. Remember what I told you? I said you would fall for me, but you didn't believe me. Look at me, I've succeeded."

"You're ridiculous, idiot."
I tell him, looking at him with hatred as I step forward from the school.

BIG FLASHBACK
{Part 8}

He grabs me by the neck and pulls me close; we're so close that I can feel his breath on my face...
My breaths quicken as I look at him.

He inches closer, just enough that our lips almost touch.
"Don't say that, because I can make you fall in love with me if you don't want it."

"You would like that."
I push him away, but he holds me firmly, and I stumble against him, our lips nearly brushing.

END FLASHBACK
{Back to part 50}

That was when he took my first kiss, the moment I hit him hard...
He said it and did it...
He's terrible, I hate him...
I start to think again, and my eyes well up as I fall back into Austin's arms.
