They see Lucas and start walking towards us.

"Here we go," I whisper, and they greet us.

Lydia goes to kiss Lucas, but he stops her.
"Easy there, girl. What are you doing?"

"What do you mean, my baby? I was going to kiss you."

God will kiss you, girl, just to survive...

"I've told you not to call me that, and we're not together, so you have no right," he says, and she looks at him.

"But we had such a great time yesterday," she says, and I tighten my grip on Lucas's hand; he notices.

"It's over between us, Lydia. I've found someone else."

"And who is this 'someone else'?" she asks with her annoying attitude, looking at us.

"I am," I reply, and both of them stare at me.

She laughs.
"What's so funny, you ridiculous girl?" I say, glaring at her.

"You can't even kiss him, you old virgin."

While my blood is boiling in my head, I reply, "And you, with your whoring around, is that better? It's better to know who you want inside you rather than anyone, and you know what? With me, it will be Lucas."

She looks at me, angry.

"You two are ridiculous. You've kissed once at the park when we took your picture, and that was forced."

I glance at Lucas, and he looks at me.
"What did you do?" Lucas asks.

They realize they've said something stupid.

"Nothing, Lucas," Lydia says.

"Speak up before the devil takes you," Lucas shouts, and she flinches.

"We hacked Emma's Instagram and posted that picture of you two," she answers, terrified.

"You'll pay for this, you old whore. Don't you dare call me again because it will get messy, I swear, and if you so much as mention Emma's name again, I will kill you, I swear it," Lucas yells, furious, and walks ahead, leaving me behind with them.

"I think we've said enough, and if you call him again, he won't get a chance to kill you first, I will, understood, girls?" I say, walking away while Lydia starts to cry.

I run to catch up with Lucas.
"Lucas, please calm down," I say, and he looks at me, still very angry.

"Leave me alone!" he shouts.

He says this as we enter an alley.

"Lucas, STOP!" I shout, and he looks at me and stops.

"I told you to leave me alone, damn it!" he yells, pressing me against the wall.

I look at him, scared, but I know he regrets treating me this way.

"Stop it, damn it. I don't care what happened, I care about now!" I tell him, looking into his furious eyes.

"What don't you understand, damn it? I messed everything up, and you expect me to just be forgiven again?" he yells one more time.

I see he's still furious.
I grab the strings of his hoodie and kiss him softly, pressing him against me since I'm also pinned against the wall.

He places his hand on my cheek and the other around my waist while I keep my hands on his hoodie strings.

We stop kissing.
I know I told him not to kiss me like this, but it was the only way I could think of to calm him down. I've forgiven him and don't want him to dwell on those past mistakes anymore; they're gone.

"Do you realize I've forgiven you, damn it? I don't care what you've done, what matters is what we do now. That's what matters to me," I tell him as he looks at me.

"My mind is cloudy, I've done so much to you, and you forgive me."

"Lucas, I will never hold a grudge against you."

"Damn your good heart, Manu," he says, gazing at me.

He pulls away and leans against the wall.

Guys, if I discover anything, will you keep it a secret?
Well...

I think.

I think I'm in love with him...

And no, I'm not joking.
When I saw him like that, my heart tightened...
I couldn't bear to see him like that anymore; I wanted to do something...

Now when he kisses me, I feel like I'm going to explode...
And when Lydia was talking to him earlier, my jealousy was at its peak, and so was my anger...

I'm sorry I couldn't win the bet...
But I won't tell him, I'll try to hide it for as long as I can.

"Manu, why did you kiss me?" he asks, looking at me.

"I didn't know how else I could help you, it was the only thing I could think of," I reply as he gazes at me.

"Do you remember what you told me at home?" he asks.

"Yes, Lucas, but when you're in this state, I didn't know what to do."

"Well, if that's the case, I'll be like this more often," he says, winking at me while smiling.

I can't help but smile back.
"You're crazy," I tell him, laughing.

"Guess what?" he says, looking at me.

"I'm crazy for you, Manu!" he declares, and I freeze, staring at him.
