"Phew, now all you can do is be patient."
"Yes, I know," I reply, looking at the floor.
"Why did you say it was you who did it?"
"He didn't believe me, I had to do something. No matter what I said, he would hold onto his hatred for me."
"I believe it will work out." I sigh, putting my hands on my face, tired of this topic. I haven't done anything wrong.
"Have you practiced today?"
"Yes."
"Are you going?"
"Yes, I want to forget."
"There's another way to forget." I look at her strangely. "Scott is having a party tomorrow."
"I don't want to go, especially there."
"Come on, Emma."
"I said no. Lucas will be there."
"That's why you should go."
"Mia, I already told him I did it, and I'm scared of him!"
"At some point, you have to stop letting him intimidate you."
"At some point."
"Come on, Emma!"
"We'll see, we still have a day ahead of us." She looks at me with a sad face.
"Those things don't work."
"He won't be at practice today either."
"I don't think so, it's Friday. If he wants to, someone will come."
"Okay, fine. What time will you go?"
"In three hours."
"You have to do something about this situation."
"Which one of all?"
"Your profile. You need to get it back."
"I'll do something."
"Okay, I have to go, they'll be waiting for me at home."
"Alright, love. Give them my regards and tell your mom I hope she feels better."
"I will," she says, and leaves.
I sit on the couch, trying to regain access to my account. After a few minutes, I log back into my account, feeling a wave of relief wash over me. I won't change the password, someone will get in again and post something, so I'll catch them.
There's a knock at my door. I go to open it and see Lucas standing there. I widen my eyes and stare at him, then his mom appears behind him.
"Hello," I say, trying my best to smile.
"Hi, sweetie, how are you?" she asks.
"Good, how about you?" I reply, glancing at both of them. Lucas looks at me intensely, as if he wants to kill me.
"Good, sweetie."
"We arranged with your aunt to go for a walk together."
"I don't know if I can..."
"Why not, sweetie?"
"I have practice in three hours."
"You both use the same excuses," she says, looking at both of us while I look down. "Did something happen between you two?" she asks, and we both look at her.
"No, everything is fine," I reply with great difficulty.
"Don't worry about it," Lucas replies to his mom, and I shoot him a death glare. His mom looks at me awkwardly, and I smile at her while Lucas clenches his fists.
"I'm going to my room for a bit, I'll be right back. Lucas, come with me," I say, and he glares at me. I look back at him seriously, and he stands up. He follows me into my room. "I got into my account."
"And? You did it, what do you want now?" he asks. I glare at him angrily.
"Do you still think I did it?"
"Let me tell you!" he growls, moving closer to me. "Stop changing the subject. Did you do it or not?"
"No, I didn't do it. How stupid do you think I am?"
"For very stupid!" he tells me, and I glare at him. My hand comes down on his cheek. Once he realizes what I did, he looks at me seriously and pushes me against the wall.
"What do you think you're doing? You've gotten a bit too bold lately!" he says, holding my wrists tightly.
"You need to calm down!" I tell him, and he gets even angrier.
"I should be the one saying that to you! It's a miracle I haven't humiliated you yet." I glare at him as my breaths quicken.
"You're so pathetic!"
"I told you to calm down, you don't want me to turn you into a pancake," he says, moving closer to me.
"You can't do that!" I tell him, leaning my head closer to him, and we're almost nose to nose. As soon as he sees that I've come closer, he looks at my lips, and I look into his eyes. I knew this would happen...
No, now tell me, does he feel something or not! After looking into my eyes, he lets me go.
"Stop doing this!" he growls, looking at me.
"You have no way to prove that you don't feel anything." He looks at me, not knowing what to say or do anymore.
"What do you want to prove?"
"That I didn't do it," I say, stepping closer to him.
"Why did you admit it before?"
"Because it didn't matter what I told you, you were stubborn and wouldn't listen to anything! You tried to hit me, Lucas," I say, lowering my voice as I look at him. "Lucas, I didn't do it..." I say, coming closer to him, and he looks away.
