Two days later

"God damn it's early as shit.What do you want?".

Victor rolls his eyes as I let him in.Today was my day off and I thought I would be going on a late run and maybe going to sleep the rest of the day.

"I'll have you know that I think I found the perfect place for you"."How many bedroom is it?".

"I was talking to Mia and she said two should be fine.."."Three.I want three bedrooms".

He looks at me confused before I give him a look."Right.Well two places I have in my list are three bedroom two bath condos so it works out".

I grab my phone and keys before closing the door behind me.We get to his car and I get in the front seat beside him.

"May I ask why three bedrooms?".

"Because me and Mia are going to start a family soon"."Does she know that?".

I give him a look and he shakes his head."From my history as a husband now,Those decisions you don't make on your own.Especially when you don't put a ring on her finger".

"There will be a ring in her finger".
"I hope so"he responds.

He pauses and glances at me when we are at a stop light."Though if you and Mia are starting a family wouldn't it be better if you ..I don't know..you lived in a house?".

"Maybe later.This condo will serve me a good two years until Mia is ready.Then I'll move her into whatever house she wants".

He chuckles as I turn the music on.

We went apartment one hunting for at least 3 hours before I found it.The place I want to live in with Silas.
I'm doing it again.

It was a three bedroom three bathroom condo 20 minutes away from Mia's apartment.

"Why three bedroom rooms?"Mia asks walking in.

Victor texted her saying that I was about to close on a place so her and Luisa wanted to look at it before I did.I look away and she takes her glasses off.

"Banks?"."For..a family".

Her eyes soften and she smirks."Okay.Well I guess that is valid more than anything.Come on L.Lets look some more at the place".

Luisa follows her down the hall as Victor smirks at me."I I guess that's as much approval as any".

I nod my head in agreement as the realtor stays speaking on Italian with Victor.

Mia and Luisa come back 19 minutes later and Luisa nods her head."I approval.I think this place is great for you Banks"."I agree".

I turn to Victor and nod."Alright then let's get this paper work started".

Me:First person who flies in gets to stay at my new condo

I roll my eyes and put my phone in my pocket.I swear even if I try to bring order it's always going to be chaos in this group-chat.

It's a good thing that Zoe didn't comment because that would just start a bunch of shit that I didn't need to hear.

"Banks!".I look up and sigh."Benji.What do I owe this pleasure?".

"Did you give Mia the promise ring yet?".

I shake my head and sigh."I've just been really busy with some things that I haven't really..been able to plan anything".

He sits down across from me and tilts his head."Everything good?".

I narrow my eyes and he laughs."Okay I know we aren't that close but you are still my teammate and I think that we should be able to connect as teammates".

He gives me a look and says "You can't have it out for the entire team you know?"."I'm only out for the people who have a thing for Mia".

"That's basically everyone on this team besides me".

I narrow my eyes and sit back."What you don't think she's pretty?"."She's beautiful but she isn't my type".

I nod my head respecting his opinion.He claps his hand and says "So what's up?Is it between you and Mia?You know I can give you some advice or maybe a second opinion".

Well it might be good to hear this from someone after than just keeping this sort of thing to myself.

"You know Silas".".The kid you have been hanging around with at the center?".

I nod my head and continue."I'm thinking of adopting him".

His eyes widen and he says "What??Seriously".

"Well it's more he asked me to and I want to do it..or I think I do".

"Raising a child is a big deal,Carrington.Especially adopting one.They are like delicate flowers and you're well..a lot"He explains.

I glare at him and he laughs."But I see it with you two.You have this kinda bond that you don't see nowadays. Have you brought this to Mia's attention?".

I shake my head and say"No.I just don't know how to bring this up.Hey I know that we got back together and everything is looking up for us.How about I add 5 year old in the mix?".

He laughs and says "Okay yea when you put it like that..it is a big conversation to be have.I say you sit her down in three days when we get back from our match with Real Madrid and talk to her.Its really important that you communicate how important it is that you adopt Silas".

I nod my head and say "I completely understand.I'll bring this to her attention.I just don't want to ruin what we have you know?".He looks at me and shrugs.

"I see what you have with Silas..if anyone could be a father figure to him..I think it's you.Besides this could be an experience of a lifetime.You might turn out to be a great dad".
