The next morning, Y/N felt a strange sense of peace. Her conversation with Hanta the night before had left her emotionally drained, but for the first time in years, the weight of her past felt lighter. She had let her guard down, allowed herself to be vulnerable with her brother, and it had helped more than she expected.

But now, a new challenge lay ahead.

Bakugou.

Her mind wandered back to the intense look in his eyes when he had asked about her past. There was something about him—something dangerous, yes, but also something... safe. It didn't make sense, but she couldn't deny the pull she felt towards him. And the way he had been watching her lately, the soft concern hidden beneath his rough exterior, made her heart race in ways she didn't want to admit.

Y/N was walking down the hall when she heard the familiar sound of explosions in the training yard. She paused, glancing out of the window to see Bakugou practicing alone, his hands glowing with small bursts of fire as he moved with precision, blasting targets with effortless ease.

Her heart skipped a beat at the sight of him.

Before she could second-guess herself, Y/N turned and headed outside, drawn to him like a magnet. She didn't fully understand why, but being around Bakugou felt... different. He was loud, abrasive, and could be infuriating at times, but there was a steadiness in him that she couldn't ignore.

As she approached, Bakugou's eyes flickered toward her, his expression hardening for a moment before softening in a way that was almost imperceptible—almost.

"What're you doin' here?" His voice was gruff, but there was no real bite to his words.

Y/N shrugged, stepping closer until she was only a few feet away. "Thought I'd check on you. Make sure you weren't blowing up half the yard."

Bakugou snorted, a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. "Tch. Like I'd lose control."

Y/N smiled, the tension between them easing slightly. "I never said that."

They stood in silence for a moment, the sound of the wind rustling through the trees the only thing breaking the stillness. Y/N shifted on her feet, unsure of what to say. She had come out here on instinct, but now that she was standing in front of Bakugou, the words felt stuck in her throat.

Bakugou glanced at her, his eyes narrowing slightly as if he could sense her hesitation. "You good?"

Y/N hesitated, her gaze falling to the ground. "I... I wanted to thank you."

Bakugou blinked, his confusion clear. "For what?"

"For the other night," she continued, her voice soft. "For pushing me to talk about... things. I didn't want to at the time, but... it helped."

Bakugou frowned, crossing his arms over his chest. "You don't gotta thank me for that. I just wanted to know what was goin' on with you."
