The knock at Y/N's door had been unexpected, but the moment she opened it and saw Bakugou standing there, something shifted inside her. He was tense—more than usual, if that was even possible—but there was something different about him tonight. His usual scowl was present, but his eyes... His eyes held something deeper, something that made her heart race in a way she hadn't prepared for.

"We need to talk," he had said, his voice gruff, but there was a vulnerability there too, one he didn't often show.

Y/N blinked, her pulse quickening as she stepped aside to let him in. "About what?"

Bakugou didn't answer right away. He stepped into her room, his hands jammed into his pockets as he looked around like he was trying to find the right words. Y/N could feel the tension in the air, thick and unspoken. She closed the door behind him, her heart pounding in her chest.

She had spent the last few days thinking about Bakugou more than she wanted to admit. Ever since that kiss in the training yard, her feelings had been a confusing mess, and she didn't know what to make of it. Bakugou was... Bakugou. Tough, brash, difficult. But beneath all of that, she had seen glimpses of something softer, something real. And those glimpses had stayed with her, making it harder and harder to ignore the way her heart raced whenever he was around.

She liked him.

She liked him more than she wanted to, and it terrified her.

But as she stood there in her room, watching Bakugou pace, she couldn't deny that there was something between them. Something that wasn't going away, no matter how much she tried to keep her guard up.

Finally, Bakugou stopped pacing and turned to face her, his eyes narrowing as he stared at her like she was the source of all his frustration. "You," he growled, pointing at her in that way he always did when he was about to say something serious. "You've been on my mind."

Y/N blinked, her breath catching in her throat. "What?"

Bakugou's scowl deepened, his hands balling into fists at his sides. "You heard me. I don't know what the hell's goin' on with me, but every time I see you, I..." He trailed off, running a hand through his hair in frustration. "It's pissing me off."

Y/N's heart skipped a beat, confusion swirling with something else—something warmer, something hopeful. "Why... why is it pissing you off?"

"Because I don't know how to deal with this crap!" Bakugou barked, his voice rising slightly. "I'm not good with feelings, alright? But you—" He paused, his eyes locking onto hers, and for a moment, the intensity in his gaze made it hard to breathe. "You've got me all messed up."

Y/N felt her cheeks heat up, her mind spinning as she processed his words. He's feeling this too?

She had known Bakugou wasn't the type to talk about his emotions easily, but hearing him admit it like this—it did something to her. It made her feel like maybe, just maybe, she wasn't alone in this confusing mess of feelings.

"Bakugou..." she started, her voice soft, but he cut her off.

"No. Let me finish." He took a step closer, his eyes never leaving hers. "I don't know what this is, okay? But ever since that night we kissed, I've been thinking about it. About you." His voice lowered, and there was an edge of vulnerability in it that made Y/N's heart clench. "And it's driving me insane."

Y/N stared at him, her heart pounding so loud she was sure he could hear it. She had been so caught up in her own emotions that she hadn't even considered that Bakugou might be feeling the same way. But here he was, standing in her room, admitting that she was driving him crazy too.

And somehow, that made her feel a little less scared.

"I've been thinking about you too," she confessed quietly, her hands fidgeting at her sides as she tried to keep her voice steady. "A lot."

Bakugou's eyes softened slightly, his scowl fading just a bit as he took another step toward her. "Yeah?"

Y/N nodded, swallowing hard as she tried to find the right words. "I didn't mean for it to happen, but... after we kissed, I couldn't stop thinking about it. About you."

There it was. The truth was out, and Y/N felt both relieved and terrified all at once. She hadn't meant to fall for Bakugou. In fact, she had done everything she could to keep her distance, to keep her walls up. But he had a way of breaking through them, of getting under her skin in a way that no one else had ever done.

Bakugou stood in front of her now, closer than before, his gaze intense as ever. "Then what the hell are we doing?" he asked, his voice low and rough. "If we both feel this way, why are we still dancing around it?"

Y/N's heart raced as she met his gaze, her breath catching in her throat. "Because it's scary," she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. "You're... intense, Bakugou. And I'm not sure if I'm ready for all of that."

Bakugou's jaw clenched, but he didn't back away. Instead, he reached out, his hand gently cupping her face as his thumb brushed against her cheek. The touch sent a jolt of warmth through her, and she leaned into it without thinking.

"I get it," he said quietly, his voice softer than she'd ever heard it. "But I'm not gonna hurt you, Y/N. I don't know how to do all this relationship shit, but if there's one thing I do know, it's that I don't want to screw this up."

Y/N's breath hitched at his words, her chest tightening with a mix of emotions—fear, hope, longing. She hadn't expected this. She hadn't expected Bakugou to be so open, so raw. But here he was, telling her exactly what she needed to hear.

Slowly, she raised her hand to cover his, her fingers curling around his as she looked up at him. "I don't want to screw this up either," she whispered.

Bakugou's eyes darkened, and in an instant, he closed the distance between them, capturing her lips in a kiss that was both fierce and tender. Y/N melted into him, her arms wrapping around his neck as she kissed him back with all the emotions she had been holding in for so long.

It was a kiss that spoke of all the things they hadn't said yet—of the feelings they were both too stubborn to admit until now. It was messy and imperfect, but it was real. And for the first time in a long time, Y/N felt like she didn't have to hide anymore.

When they finally pulled apart, both of them were breathless, their foreheads resting together as they tried to catch their breath.

Bakugou's grip on her tightened, his voice low and rough as he whispered, "You're mine now, Y/N. You get that, right?"

Y/N's heart skipped a beat, a smile tugging at her lips as she nodded. "I get it."

And for the first time in a long time, she wasn't scared of what came next.
