The girls' dorms buzzed with excitement as students from Class 1-A and 1-B gathered for a girls' night in. Blankets and pillows were scattered all over the common room, with snacks piled high on the table. Tonight was a chance to unwind after a long day of training, and there was no better way to do that than with some fun, friendly competition.
Mina clapped her hands to get everyone's attention. "Alright, ladies! We're officially starting girls' night! And what better way to kick things off than with a classic game of Truth or Dare?" She grinned mischievously, her eyes already scanning the group for the perfect target.
Y/N settled down on a bean bag, pulling her knees up to her chest. She had expected some teasing questions or silly dares, but knowing Mina, things could quickly get out of hand. Beside her, Kendou leaned over and whispered, "Be careful with these dares; I have a feeling Mina's going to make things interesting."
Mina's gaze zeroed in on Y/N. "You're up first, Y/N! Truth or dare?"
Without much hesitation, Y/N replied, "Dare." She could feel the anticipation growing as everyone turned to see what Mina would come up with.
Mina's grin widened. "Perfect! I dare you... to ignore Bakugou for a whole week. No talking, no texting, and definitely no sneaking off to be alone with him."
The room burst into laughter and surprised gasps. Y/N's eyes widened slightly. "What?! A whole week?" she exclaimed, caught off guard by the dare. It was one thing to mess with Bakugou occasionally, but to ignore him entirely for seven days—especially with the joint training exercise coming up—seemed impossible.
"Come on, you picked dare! You can't back out now," Mina said, smirking. "Think of it as a fun little challenge. Besides, I'm curious to see how long you can last without your boyfriend."
Y/N bit her lip, knowing Mina wasn't going to let her off easy. "Fine," she said, narrowing her eyes at the pink-haired girl. "I'll do it. But if I survive this, you're next."
"Oh, I'm shaking," Mina teased, but there was a sparkle of approval in her eyes. "This is going to be fun to watch."
The first day of the dare was manageable. Y/N avoided being in the same room as Bakugou as much as possible and made excuses to leave whenever he approached. She could tell he was getting suspicious, especially when he tried to ask her about the upcoming joint training and she simply shrugged and walked away. His irritated expression was almost enough to make her break, but she held firm, reminding herself that she had to see the dare through.
By the third day, Bakugou's patience was wearing thin. During lunch, he kept glaring across the cafeteria at her, and whenever he came close, she'd quickly strike up a conversation with someone else, making it clear she wasn't going to acknowledge him. He even tried sending her a text, but she left it on read, much to his frustration.
On the fifth day, the real challenge began. It was the day of the joint training exercise, and Y/N knew it would be difficult to keep up the act while also focusing on the drills. Bakugou seemed particularly fired up that morning, and she could feel his gaze boring into her back during the warm-ups. He definitely knew something was up.
As the teams were assigned, she ended up on the opposing side, meaning she would be facing Bakugou directly in the capture-the-flag exercise. This was both a blessing and a curse—while it gave her an excuse to stay away from him, it also meant he would have even more opportunities to push her buttons.
During the exercise, Y/N poured all of her frustration and pent-up energy into the drills, her movements sharper and more intense than usual. She dodged Bakugou's explosions with practiced ease and countered Kendou's attacks with her own quick maneuvers. The rest of her team noticed her determination and rallied behind her, putting up a solid defense.
But Bakugou wasn't one to back down easily. His attacks became more relentless, almost as if he was trying to force her to acknowledge him. At one point, he managed to corner her near one of the barriers, his eyes blazing with a mix of anger and curiosity. "What the hell's been up with you this week, huh?" he demanded, his voice low and growling.
Y/N's heart raced, but she kept her expression neutral. Without a word, she used her quirk to propel herself backward, flipping over the barrier and putting distance between them again. She didn't look back, even as she heard him cursing under his breath.
As the week dragged on, Mina and the other girls couldn't help but find the situation amusing. They noticed Bakugou growing increasingly frustrated, and Y/N's efforts to avoid him becoming more elaborate by the day. Whenever Y/N passed Mina in the hallway, the girl would give her a thumbs-up and a knowing grin.
The final day of the dare was the hardest. Y/N was exhausted from training and missing the easy comfort she usually found in Bakugou's presence. She wasn't sure how much longer she could keep this up without snapping.
At the end of the day, as everyone gathered in the common room, Y/N found herself alone in the hallway for a moment. She took a deep breath, mentally preparing herself for the last few hours of this dare. She just had to make it through tonight.
But as she started to head back toward the common room, she heard a familiar voice from behind her. "Enough of this crap, Y/N. We need to talk. Now."
She froze, her resolve crumbling as she turned to face Bakugou. His eyes were filled with a mix of anger and concern, and she could tell he wasn't going to let her walk away this time.
