It had been a long day of training, but the mood in the common room of Class 1-A's dorms was light and filled with laughter. Everyone was unwinding after the day's exhaustion, and for once, the tension between Y/N and Bakugou seemed to take a backseat. At least, for now.

The Bakusquad had gathered in a circle, snacks scattered around and a few drinks in hand, the atmosphere loud and relaxed. Mina, Kirishima, Sero, Denki, and Y/N were all sitting together, with Bakugou off to the side, arms crossed and a signature scowl on his face.

"I'm not playing this stupid game," Bakugou growled as he leaned back against the couch.

"Come on, Bakugou!" Kirishima grinned, nudging him. "Don't be such a stick in the mud. It's just truth or dare! It'll be fun, man."

Mina, always the life of the party, clapped her hands in excitement. "Yes! This is going to be amazing. Especially if we get people to spill their secrets!"

Y/N smiled slightly, trying to shake off the strange feeling of dread settling in her chest. She wasn't the type to share too much about herself—especially not with a game like truth or dare. But the group's enthusiasm was infectious, and before she knew it, she found herself nodding along, agreeing to join.

"All right, fine," Y/N said with a small sigh, but her smile widened as the group cheered. Even Bakugou rolled his eyes but didn't leave the room, which was as good as a win.

The game started off innocent enough. Kirishima took a dare and ended up doing push-ups with Denki sitting on his back. Mina was dared to prank call Aizawa (which ended in her hanging up immediately). Denki and Sero, of course, chose ridiculous dares that left the group in stitches.

Then, it was Y/N's turn.

"Truth or dare, Y/N?" Mina asked, her eyes sparkling mischievously.

Y/N bit her lip. She knew how this game worked—if she chose dare, she'd probably end up doing something embarrassing. And while she wasn't shy about taking a risk, tonight felt different. She didn't want the attention, not like that. So she made her decision.

"Truth," she said, her voice steady.

"Oooh, playing it safe," Denki teased, earning a laugh from the others.

Mina leaned forward, her eyes narrowing as she thought. "Okay, okay. Let's see... Oh, I got it!" She grinned. "What's something from your past that really changed you? Like, something major that made you who you are now?"

Y/N froze.

Her smile faltered, and for a split second, her heart pounded in her chest, the room suddenly feeling too small. She hadn't expected that. Mina's question, though asked innocently enough, cut deep—deeper than anyone here knew. Her mind flashed back to memories she had tried so hard to bury: the years with her toxic ex, the pain, the emotional scars, the person she had been before she rebuilt herself.

Everyone was watching her now, waiting for her answer. Even Bakugou, who had been quiet most of the night, was staring at her with a sharp intensity she couldn't ignore.
