Days had passed since that kiss in the training yard, and Bakugou couldn't shake the feeling that something had shifted inside him. It was subtle, like the slow burn of a fire that had started somewhere deep in his chest, growing with each passing day. And it was all because of her—Y/N.

He hadn't meant for it to happen. Hell, he hadn't even planned to care this much, but there was no denying it now. Every time he saw her, every time she smiled at him or caught his eye, something stirred inside him, something he wasn't used to feeling.

The problem was that he wasn't sure how to handle it. Emotions were messy, complicated, and Bakugou hated complications. He had always prided himself on being focused, driven, a force to be reckoned with. But now, with Y/N lingering in the back of his mind constantly, he felt like he was losing control in a way that made him both frustrated and... vulnerable.

He hated that.

But more than that, he hated the idea of anyone else finding out about what was going on between them. It was his business, their business, and the last thing he needed was people prying into something he barely understood himself.

And yet, as much as he tried to keep things under wraps, Bakugou had the sinking feeling that his friends—especially Mina—were starting to pick up on the shift.

It was the small things that gave him away. The way he'd glance at Y/N across the room during group training, or how he seemed less harsh when she was around. He didn't notice it at first, but Mina was observant, and that worried him.

It was one of those rare afternoons when everyone in the Bakusquad had gathered in the common room for a bit of relaxation. Kirishima, Mina, Kaminari, and Sero were lounging on the couches, talking about everything and nothing. Y/N sat near them, laughing at one of Kaminari's ridiculous jokes, and Bakugou was leaning against the wall a little further back, arms crossed as he watched them from the sidelines.

He wasn't one for joining in on the playful banter, but something about being near Y/N made him stick around, even if he pretended not to care.

Mina, however, wasn't buying it.

She'd been watching Bakugou more closely lately, ever since Y/N had become a more frequent presence in his orbit. The explosive blonde had always been a bit of an enigma when it came to emotions, but there was something different about the way he looked at Y/N. And Mina, being the ever-curious soul that she was, couldn't resist digging a little deeper.

"Hey, Bakugou," she called out, flashing him a mischievous grin. "You've been awfully quiet over there. Something on your mind?"

Bakugou's crimson eyes narrowed as he shot her a glare. "Shut it, Raccoon Eyes. I'm fine."

Mina chuckled, unfazed by his gruff response. "Uh-huh, sure. But you've been staring over here for like... the last ten minutes. Didn't think we were that interesting."

Kirishima laughed, slapping Bakugou on the back. "Yeah, man. You've been zoning out. Something bothering you?"
