The day dragged on, with the tension between Y/N and Bakugou simmering just beneath the surface. Everyone could sense that something was off, especially after the way Bakugou stormed out of the common room earlier. He had been unusually quiet during training, his jaw tight and his movements even more aggressive than usual.
Y/N knew she had pushed him to his breaking point.
After classes, she found herself in the common area again, this time alone. The others had either gone to their rooms or were off somewhere else, leaving her with some rare peace and quiet. The quiet, however, gave her too much time to think.
Her mind kept drifting back to Bakugou—to the look in his eyes when he'd warned her earlier. She had seen the way he'd been struggling to keep himself in check, the way he was barely holding back his emotions.
The thought of it sent a thrill through her. Maybe she had pushed too far. Maybe she had wanted him to break that careful control he always kept so tightly wrapped around himself.
And yet, here she was, still wanting more.
Just as Y/N was about to head back to her room, the sound of heavy footsteps approaching from the hallway made her freeze. She didn't have to turn around to know who it was—the familiar weight of his presence was unmistakable.
Bakugou.
Before she could fully register what was happening, he was there, standing just a few feet behind her. She could feel the heat radiating off him, the intensity of his gaze burning into her back.
"You really don't know when to stop, do you?" His voice was low, but there was an edge to it that sent a shiver down her spine.
Y/N turned to face him, her heart racing. Bakugou's eyes were dark, filled with a storm of emotions she couldn't quite read. He wasn't holding back anymore—she could see it in the way his muscles tensed, in the way his fists clenched at his sides.
She took a step toward him, her voice soft but teasing. "Maybe I don't want to stop."
Bakugou's eyes flickered with something dangerous, and in an instant, he closed the distance between them, his hand shooting out to grab her wrist. His grip wasn't gentle, but it wasn't painful either—it was firm, demanding her attention.
"You've been messing with me all week," he growled, his voice low and filled with barely-contained frustration. "You think this is a game, don't you?"
Y/N swallowed, her pulse quickening at the intensity in his voice. "Maybe I do."
Bakugou's grip tightened slightly, his eyes locked on hers. "You think you can just keep pushin' me without consequences? Keep playin' these little games?"
Y/N smirked, trying to mask the way her heart was pounding. "I've been waiting for you to do something about it."
Something snapped in Bakugou at those words, and before she could react, he had backed her up against the wall, his body hovering dangerously close to hers. His hands were on either side of her, caging her in, his breath hot against her skin.
