(At West Anderson High School, in the cafeteria.)
"I cannot wait for prom." Jayla said. "Oh, I know! I hope Alvy asks me." Allison said. "Eww! Alvy Scimmelphening?" Kim asked. "What? I think he's cute." Allison turns to Rigby. "What about you, Rigby, did you ask your girlfriend to prom?" She asked. "Yeah." Rigby replied. "Was it romantic?" Kim asked. "It was totally romantic." Rigby said.
~Flashback~
Rigby and (Y/n) are at the coffee shop eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. "Hey, you wanna go with me to prom?" Rigby asked her. "Like, as a chaperone?" (Y/n) asked. "No, as my date." Rigby said. "Oh, totally. I never got to go since no one ever asked me." (Y/n) said. "Nice." The two return to eating their sandwiches.
~Present~
"Awww!" The girls said. "So, what kind of ride we talking here? Limo, hog, hot rod, what?" Aiden asked. "Oh, uh, we're just gonna take the bus." Aiden and the girls laugh. "Good one, bro. If somebody actually showed up in a bus, they'd look like such a loser. Man, Rigby's jokes are so good." Aiden said. "Heh heh, yep, just another one of my jokes." Rigby said.
~Time Skip~
At the park, Skips is washing his van as Rigby walks to him. "Hey, Skips. Can I borrow your car for prom?" Rigby asked. Skips turns to Rigby. "It's a van, and no." he said. Rigby asks Benson next. "Hmm, let me think." Benson turns red. "NO!" He shouted. Rigby goes to Muscle Man at his trailer. "No." Muscle Man said. Rigby tries asking Mordecai. "Rigby, you know I don't have a car." He said. The last person he went to see was Don.
"Sure, anything for my big bro. Give me some sugar first." Rigby sighs and gives Don a hug. "There's just one problemo, you totaled my car last week." Don said. "Augh! You mean I just gave you sugar for nothing?" Rigby asked. "Yeah, I've been riding the old recumbo to work every day." Don shows him his recumbent bike. "I gotta say, It's working miracles on my calves." He shows him his claves on his legs. Rigby sighs.
"Well, great, you were my last shot. There goes prom. Thanks for nothing." He starts to walk away. "Hey, hey. Hey, hold up. There's still someone you could ask." Don said. Rigby turns to Don. "No." He said. "Bro..." Don said. "No!" Rigby said. "Bro..." Don said. "NO!!" At their parents' house, a picture of Sherm, Rigby and Don's father, washing his car is laid out and Sherm is polishing his picture. "No." Rigby said softly. "Bro..." Don said. "Would you two pipe down?! I'm trying to polish my picture of my prized car!" He shouted.
Barbara comes in with two plates of food and places them next to Don and Rigby. "What a surprise for you boys to drop in!" She said. "Drop in". Ha! You really think Rigby would just come to dinner? I know you just need something." Sherm said. Barbara sits down. "Oh, hush, Sherm. So, how are things at work?" Barbara asked her sons. "Great! We just picked up Cheezer's as a new client." Don said. "That's our Donny!" Sherm said. "I ate at Cheezer's yesterday." Rigby said. "That was a good update, Don." Sherm said. They settle in and eat their dinner, except Rigby. "Yeah, so, anyway, I just got all my credits for high school.
Yep, getting ready to graduate." Rigby clears his throat. "Moving up, accomplishing stuff." Don elbows him. "In fact, I'm, um, actually going to prom... with (Y/n). You know (Y/n)." Rigby said. "Yeah, and?" Sherm asked. "That's it." Don elbows him again. "And I was wondering if I could borrow your car." Rigby said. "Oh ho ho! There it is! Now, it comes out! See, Barbara? Of course he needs something! No, you cannot borrow my prized 1964 Luxury Sedan!" Sherm said. "Augh! This is so typical! You care more about that dumb car than you care about me!" Rigby shouted.
"THAT'S IT, GO TO YOUR ROOM!!!" Sherm shouted. "FINE!!!!" Rigby storms off. "So, Don, you ready for some dessert?" Sherm asked. Barbara sighs and comes upstairs and knocks on the door that says "Rigby's Room!!!" "Rigby, you know this is a walk-in closet now." Barbara opens the closet to find Rigby sitting there. "I know." Barbara approaches him carrying a tissue. "I brought some tissues." She said. "I'm not crying." Rigby said. "Oh, good." She takes a seat beside him, and Rigby sighs. "Why does Dad still have to be such a jerk all the time? It's just, neither me or (Y/n) went to prom, and I want to make it special." Rigby said. "Hmm. Alright, I'll make you a deal." Barbara takes out Sherm's car keys as Rigby gasps. "No scratches, and I'm not involved." She gives the car keys to him.
