At the Park Managers' Lodge, Gene is starting a meeting. "Alright, alright. Everybody settle down. The annual Park Managers' Lodge $50 Chili Cook-Off will be this weekend, and as always, the cost of your ingredients cannot be more than $50." Benson is sitting at the apprentice table with two other lodge members, drinking from an orange juice box. "Day 1 will be an elimination round, and Day 2, finalists will complete in a no-holds barred arena match. Celebrity chef Sean Ben Pimento will judge."

The lodge members talk among themselves. "The winner will get the undivided respect of the entire lodge!" Gene said. The lodge members cheer. Benson gasps. "Respect.." Benson stands up. "I want to enter!" The lodge members gasp. "Benson, no!" A park manager shouted. "Gene wins every year." Another said. "Ah, let the apprentice enter. Not like he's gonna beat me." The lodge members laugh. "Let's have a preemptive celebration in Gene's honor!" The park manager from before said.

The lodge members rush off to celebrate, leaving Benson alone. "I gotta win this chili cook-off!" Benson said quietly. (Y/n), Mordecai, Rigby and Skips are at the Snack Bar. "So I saw my 5th grade teacher at the grocery store yesterday." Mordecai said. "What?" (Y/n) asked. Benson walks up with cook gloves and holding a pot of chili. "Hey guys, Hope you saved some room for chili." Benson said. "Oh, right, for the competition." Rigby said.

"I hope you win Benson, that would finally put Gene in his place, and I'd love to get some kind of payback." (Y/n) said. "I hope so to (Y/n), it was tough staying under 50 bucks, But I did it." Benson gives spoons to them. "Dig in." (Y/n), Mordecai, Rigby and Skips tastes Benson's chili. "So?" Benson asked. "It's good." Mordecai said. "Yeah, It's good." Rigby said, and (Y/n) nods. "It's good." She said. "Okay, good." Benson said.

"Yeah, it's not bad." Rigby said. "You said good before." Benson said. "Yeah, it's fine, Benson." Mordecai said. "You said not bad before." Benson said. "Chill, Benson." (Y/n) said. "It's cafeteria level at best." Skips said. "Ugh! If I only could see a jade phantom pepper," he flashbacks back to his search for jade phantom peppers in the jungle. "I used to come across them when I studied abroad in Venezuela. It's spicy and sweet with hints of lavender." His monkey climbs up a tree and throws a jade phantom pepper into Benson's pot of chili. "It made a chili go from "regular" to muy bonito." The flashback ends and returns to the present. "Benson, You know the jade phantom pepper is "Muy Expensivo" in the states. It costs 20 grand. You got to work with what you got. That's the whole point of this contest." Skips said.

"You're right. If Gene can do it, I can do it." Later, (Y/n), Mordecai and Rigby are cleaning the gutters as Benson appears with chili in the window. "Guys, you guys!" He said. "Aah!" The trio screamed. "BENSON, WE'RE TRYING TO WORK HERE!" (Y/n) shouted, and Mordecai and Rigby both flinch a bit from her outburst.

"I know, I know, just try my chili." (Y/n), Mordecai and Rigby taste a second part of Benson's chili. "Oh, it's pretty good." The trio said. "Yeah." (Y/n) said. "Award winning good?" Benson asked. "... Maybe?" Rigby asked. "Not good enough." Benson said. (Y/n), Mordecai and Rigby throw the spoons away. Later, (Y/n), Mordecai and Rigby are sleeping. Benson enters (Y/n)'s room and wakes her up. "UGH, BENSON!" Her scream startles them awake. Benson drags (Y/n) into the duo's room."

Just try this one last bite." Benson said. "Ugh!" Rigby said. (Y/n), Mordecai and Rigby tastes chili for last time, madly. "Oh... oh wow." Mordecai said. "Yeah, that's amazing." (Y/n) said. "Benson... this might be the best chili I've ever had." Rigby said. "Really? Great, that's perfect. Now to get some sleep before the competition." The next day, Benson is walking to his car with his pot and then driving back to his house. Once he arrives, he drops his keys. He picks them up,

unlocks the door and enters the kitchen where he places a plastic wrap around the chili pot. He goes to bed and gets up a split second later when his alarm clock beeps at 7:00 a.m. Later they're at the Annual Park Manager's Lodge $50 Chili Cook Off, and Benson is making his chili. Benson gasps. "Oh, wow, there he is." He said. "There's who is?" Mordecai asked. "Celebrity judge Sean-Ben Pimento." Pimento walks up to a contestant and smells his chili.
