The Ice Tape

At a video store, a person kicks the door, which appears to be Mordecai. The three video store workers gasp. Mordecai and the other park members then remove their hoodies from their faces, with the exception of Pops and (Y/n). "Nice! Customers." Joel said. "Can I help you?" Kai asked. "I want to help you!" Fi shouted. "Guys, guys. It's my turn. What are you looking for? Action? Comedy? Action-Comedy?" Joel asked. "Sorry, we actually don't know what we're looking for but," Benson grabs a hologram map from his pocket.

"This map that Mary Stone gave us says that whatever it is, it's somewhere in this store." He said. "It's gonna be a little hard to know what kind of action-comedy to recommend if you don't know what you're looking for." Pops takes off his hood, then so does (Y/n), and Kai, Fi and Joel gasp. "The chosen ones." Joel said. "The chosen ones. Where?" Pops turns his head around to see where the chosen ones are. "I... think they're talking about us, Pops." (Y/n) said. Kai rolls up her sleeve to show her Pop's and (Y/n)'s tattoos, along with Fi, where it is placed on her bottom leg and Joel removes his hat, which also have a Pops and (Y/n) tattoo.

"Oh my..." Pops said. "We have something to show you." Joel opens a door while holding a lamp. Joel removes a blanket with an image of Pops and (Y/n). There are two holes and a wall sliced in half. Kai and Fi grab Pops and (Y/n) band take them to the wall. "Wait, what're they doing?" Anna asked worriedly. "Duh. They're gonna put their heads in those holes to open a secret door. It's pretty obvious, Anna." Muscle Man said. "Oh, is it?" She asked. Fi and Kai put the duo's heads into the wall, which then opens the door horizontally. "Whoa!" The rest of the gang said. "Told ya." Muscle Man said. "What's behind the door?" (Y/n) asked. "Key to your pasts." Fi said. "Huh?" (Y/n) asked. Pops opens the door, walks through it and sees a tape that looks like Ice. Pops grabs the tape from the stand. "It's...for us." Pops turns to (Y/n).

"It's probably a sweet Pops and (Y/n) Origin Story." Muscle Man said. "Maybe it will tell us what we are supposed to do next." Skips said. "I hope so." Olivia said. "Plus, that tape's made out of ice. We totally gotta watch it." Rigby said. "Yeah um, quick question. If the tape is made of ice, how are we going to watch it?" Anna asked. "The tape won't work in any normal VCR." Kai said. "That doesn't answer my question." Anna said, and (Y/n) snickers. "You must take the tape to the Forbidden Mountain. There, and only there, may the contents of the tape be revealed to you." Fi said. "It'll be pretty dangerous, but we'll gladly die to make sure you get there to watch that tape." Joel said. "Die?" Anna asked, in slight fear and concern. "Not sure that will be necessary." Pops said. "Let's roll." Mordecai said. The ice tape is placed in a cooler, and the gang and the video store employees travel to the mountain on snowmobiles.

"All this Pops "Chosen One" stuff is crazy! I mean, I always thought he was just an old guy. A nice old guy, but you know? (Y/n) is different though, we found out the hard way too." Rigby said. "Yeah, I wonder what he really is. Like, what if Pops wasn't Pops at all?" Mordecai asked. Mordecai and Rigby begin to imagine what Pops actually is. "What if Pops is a robot?" Rigby asked. Pops turns into a golden robot. "Oh! Or what if he's actually a smaller guy piloting a robot?" The robot opens up to reveal a smaller and thinner-sized Pops, who dances. The imagine ends.

"Yeah, that sounds about right." Mordecai said, and (Y/n) scoffs. "Sure..." she said sarcastically. Everyone stops at the bottom of the mountain. "We're almost to the mountain, but to get there, we must first cross this frozen lake." Joel said. "Great, let's hope it doesn't break under our feet and we all drown." Olivia said. "Yeah, isn't there another way?" Anna asked. "Well, sure, if you wanna go through Magma Lake or Lightning Lake, be my guest." Joel said. Both lakes appear more dangerous than the Frozen Lake. "Even better!" Olivia said sarcastically. "Those names feel pretty on the nose." Fives said.

"I'll right. Guess we'll go across the Frozen Lake." Muscle Man said. "That's what I thought. We must make haste. Careful haste." Everyone begins to move across the Frozen Lake on their snowmobiles. The ice on the lake begins to crack. "Uh, guys?" Eileen asked. The ice begins to crack further, concerning Kai and Fi. "Ditch the snowmobiles! Run!" Everyone hastily gets off their snowmobiles and runs across the Frozen Lake, panting along the way. Much of the ice gives way, taking the snowmobiles with it. Joel attempts to make it across the Frozen Lake with the cooler, only for all of the ice ahead of him to melt into the water. Everyone else is able to cross the lake safely. "I'm not gonna make it!" Joel throws the cooler to Kai. "No, Joel!!" Kai shouted. "It's too late for me!" He shouted.
