(Y/n), Mordecai and Rigby are watching a commercial for Del Hanlon's upcoming interview with the band "Mercury Heat" at the coffee shop. "Gene Hazard. Vince Vandercliffe. Rikki Nova. And Dolfph! Together they are Mercury Heat! Known for their outrageous costumes, death-defying performances, and their reputation for avoiding the press. No interviews! Until now. Channel 6 leading anchor, Amy Hanlon interviews the band for the first time with the hardest-hitting questions. All their secrets finally revealed tonight at 8:00." The commercial said.

"Ohhhhh!" The Mercury Heat!" The trio said. "I can't believe Sam got us special press passes, compliments of Channel 6!" Mordecai said as he held the three up. Dr. Langer flies in front of them. "(Y/n), Mordecai and Rigby, you took a DTV from the Dome-itory!" He scolded. "DT-what?" Mordecai asked. "DTV. You know, that very expensive piece of machinery parked outside." He shouted as he gestures to it. "Oh, yeah." Mordecai said. "We were only gonna use it for a minute." Rigby said. "Yeah dude, chill." (Y/n) said.

"Is that so? Well, I've got surveillance photos that say otherwise!" Dr. Langer shows them pictures, the first one of them walking to the cart, the second one of Mordecai and Rigby throwing their arms up, with (Y/n) sitting in between them, the third one of them spinning in the cart, and the last two showing the trio jumping into the air on the cart. At the park, Langer shows Benson the photographs as the trio sit on the steps of the house. "Oh, boy." Benson said. Mordecai and Rigby snicker, and (Y/n) face palms. "Can it!" Benson snapped at the duo,

then turns to the scientist. "I am so sorry for this, Dr. Langer." He said. "The DTVs are meant for scientific research. They could have ruined weeks of data. There was a line there, and your guys crossed it. That's why I'm enacting a 24-hour lockdown." Dr. Langer said. (Y/n) suddenly looks at him angrily. "WHAT?!" She asked. "No way!" Rigby said. "And Benson here is gonna make sure you don't leave the house. 'Cause if you do, he's fired." Dr. Langer said. This makes (Y/n) even angrier. "You can't do that!" She shouted.

"I'd advise against losing your temper right now, (Y/n)." Dr. Langer said warningly. (Y/n) growls angrily. "Keep them in line or we'll keep them in line for you!" Dr. Langer said, then flew off. "I can't believe this!" Benson said as he walks over to the trio angrily. "Come on, Benson. You know these dome rules are ridiculous." Mordecai said. "Yeah. You're just too afraid to do anything about it." (Y/n) said. "I don't want to hear it. Lockdown! 24 hours!

Starting now! Get inside!" Benson shouts angrily, pointing at the house. The trio frown in defeat and begin to walk back to the house. "Aw, dudes!" Rigby said. "There is no way we're missing Mercury Heat." Mordecai said. Benson sits in a chair watching the door and takes a sip from his bottle. "No one's getting past me. No sir." Benson said. Pops, (Y/n), Mordecai and Rigby were watching from the top of the stairs. "Thanks for helping us out, Pops." Mordecai said. "Of course! I've just about had it with these dome rules. They're absolute rubbish, if you ask me." Pops said.

"Agreed." (Y/n) said. "How are you gonna distract Benson?" Rigby asked. "Leave that to me." Pops smirks. Later, Pops distracts Benson by playing a flute. Benson turns to Pops in annoyance. "Wow, Pops. That's very impressive." He said. "I've never had a single lesson." Pops said, and continues to play. "But I think my ears are tired now, so—" Benson said as he points to his ears, or where they should be. "Well, then. Let's wake them up!" Pops once again continues to play, and Benson cringes and covers his ears. Outside, the trio use a rope to climb out of the house. The trio go to Channel 6 and show their passes, and the two guards nod and let them in. Sam opens the door to the top of the building. "Best spot ever!" Mordecai said as he and his best friends stood in front of a cameraman. "Rubber baby buggy bumpers. Rubber baby buggy bumpers." Amy said as she was filming, as she read through her lines.

"Look! Here they come!" Rigby points upwards and the cameraman lifts the camera in that direction. The group jump out of aircraft and fireworks and stars appear behind them as they fall. "Whooooa!" The trio said. The girl coughs as they land. "Wow. What an entrance. Amy Hanlon, reporter on Channel 6 News." The girl said. The guys don't even react. "Hey." Amy just looks confused. "Dudes, I can't believe we almost missed this!" (Y/n) said. "Good thing our plan is foolproof." Rigby said. Back at the house, Benson slowly opens the door to check on the duo, he had already checked (Y/n)'s room. He looks to see the covers moving and assumes its their breathing and closes the door. Then gets suspicious and opens the door again. Not noticing the rope hanging above the door. "Hmm. Yeah. You better sleep." Benson said before closing the door.
