The Satan Pit

"Open fire!" Jefferson announced. Zach, Jack, and Annika looked at each other nervously as Jefferson left his comms open.

"We're stabilizing. We've got orbit," Zach said in relief.

"Danny's with us," Jefferson announced.

"But more Ood are coming!" Danny's voice yelled.

"Watch that one and let me know if they're coming to us," Zach said to Jack and Annika.

"We have knowledge on ships, let us know we need to jump in," Jack said. Zach nodded.

"How many Ood are still walking?" Zach asked.

"All fifty! They killed the other guards by disintegrating them!" Danny yelled back.

"If we gotta defend ourselves, you stay behind me," Jack told Annika sternly. The hybrid nodded.

"They're armed! It's the interface device. They're using it as a weapon," Danny said.

"They're coming," Jack said. He got his laser gun out and Annika summoned daggers. The door opened and Jack shot down the hall and Annika used disposable daggers—not her special ones—and managed to take down ten before Zach got the lockdown on the control room.

"We managed to take down ten, you'll have forty to deal with. We're on lockdown," Zach announced.

"I've got very low ammunition, sir. How about you?"

"Where's his ammo?" Annika asked.

Zach pointed to a direction and Annika hurried off. "All I've got is a bolt gun and a back up. We have a weapon with lazers and someone summoning daggers."

"Mister Jefferson, look at the ground," Annika said.

They watched Jefferson look down as a glow eminated from below him. "Thank you, ma'am." He loaded more ammo and shot some more Ood. "I've got another ten, but given the emergency, I recommend strategy nine."

"What's strategy nine?" Rose asked as she took down another Ood.

"Evacuate. If the Doctor really believes he can find us, then we need to leave," Zach said.

"I'll find you," the Doctor spoke up.

"How're you doing?" Rose asked.

"Ida's getting slightly low on oxygen but I gave her my tank. I'll be fine," the Doctor answered.

"What is he?" Zach asked.

"Time Lord," Jack and Annika answered.

"Seriously?"

"Seriously," the two told him.

"The seal did open but nothing is coming out," the Doctor said.

"It might be waiting for you to come in," Jack suggested.

"Zach, I should be fine. The Doctor had a full oxygen tank. If you're doing strategy nine. Do it. He said he knows his ship is down here but he needs to find it," Ida said.

"Toby is normal again," Danny said in a low voice. Apparently Danny, Jefferson, and Rose were having the same assumption that Toby would not be let go, at least easily.
