A Ray of Sunlight

I don't think anyone actually read this (because it's too long and my first book I've written so it's kinda bad) but I hope you enjoy this!

Idk if any of you guys watch this show but I was actually inspired by a variety of contents, the most prominent being a Japanese sci-fi show call ultra man following the same theme of defense force, battling monsters and the idea that one should always stand for light. 

My first show was ultra man Taiga and I especially admired the villain called Tregear. Although he definitely carried the show, he still got killed in the end which I thought was super unfair because one, his character design is just so elegant, two, I love his personality and three, it was super weird seeing this grown man getting killed by a teenager. 

Also, there's been rumors/ships going around that Tregear was dating his ex best friend Ultraman Taro and because their relationship in the show was kinda toxic, so I was like okay, let's pretend to ship them to see why people are so obsessed with the ship. After making some fake scenes in my head, I was absolutely in love with the concept of forbidden love and how change can break so many people. 

Also, I was super pissed about how ultra man Taiga is such a mid show. He could have gotten a dramatic character development but was instead mostly the same at the end and it really hurts me that such an interesting character, the son of the defense force head (ultra man Taro) was portrayed. 

So as you see, A Ray Of Sunlight was originally an ultra man fanfic but as I made more and more scenes in my head, I slowly changed their personality. Tregear, instead of being a psychopath stalker, murder was instead an energetic teenage boy who suffers from great trauma and Taro, instead of being a responsible person and sometimes goof head, became depressed (there was this theory that Taro abandoned Taiga or smt and I immediately thought that maybe it was because he was depressed lmao). So, in order to do justice to the original characters, I ended up separating my character from ultra man, creating  the characters in this book.

Though the plot and concepts that I explored are a lot different then in those in ultra man, here and there, I see a glimpse of my favorite characters in the scene and smile, remembering how it all started, from a teenage girl with a huge obsession with the elegant, masked villain of a sci-fi show.

Yeah almost all the characters is crazy bro 💀 

I did tweak a lot of their personalities/hobbies  though so it's okay right???
