if anyone made it this far (probably no one cause I kinda give up having my book read), thank you so much and I hope you enjoy watching my little sunshine boy grow up from a spoiled little brat to a self conscious teen to a mature person! Anyways, here's the finale, hope you like it!

Father has been prescribed antidepressants and has been going to talk therapy now. For the first couple of weeks, I sat by his side, nervously hoping the medication works. Maybe he's slowly getting better. I'm not really sure.

Things have been going pretty well for me. It's still rough and I'm still adjusting to my new schedule (I have so many more monsters to fight than before!) but the upcomers are helping me which is great.

"Hey father, I'm home-" The smell of roasted meat and cooked rice slowly wafted over. "Father?"

I slowly walked to the kitchen and saw father stirring a pot.

"Hi, Haruto." He said, walking over to the sink to wash his hands before drying them on a towel. "I heard there's a festival nearby, do you want to go?"

My eyes started to water and my mouth curled up into a smile. I did it. I proved Katsunori wrong.

"I do."

"Alright, let's go before coming back for dinner." He said and grabbed his coat.

I reached out to grab father's hand and we walked out the door. Just as my foot hit the pavement, a cherry blossom landed on my head. I picked it up and showed it to my father.

"Father, do you know what cherry blossoms represent?" He shook my head and smiled. "Cherry blossoms represent hope and the promise of something new, kind of like spring in a way. The only difference is that unlike spring, it lurks around everywhere, even when you least expected it."

"You really are a ray of sunlight, Haruto."
