Chapter 6 - Rollercoaster To Hell (Shiro's POV)

 "So, how do you feel Shiro?" That was the first thing I heard when I woke up in a dark, endless room again.

"Katsunori! Let me out!"

I heard his laughter echoing through the room. A shiver ran down my spine. Was he toying with me like how a cat would play with the mouse before ending its life?

"Not so soon, Shiro." Katsunori said "I still need you for my plan. The plan to get revenge on the Sorians."

I was furious but also curious. Why would he need to get revenge on the Sorians?

"You're curious aren't you?"

I stayed silent because I had a feeling Katsunori could read my mind in the state I'm in now.

Katsunori started talking. "I was also an idiotic, naive Sorian except I was an outcast. There is no point in trying to be the best that you can be because at some point you'll mess everything up and it'll be too late to make everything better. Your life will just be a spiral going deeper and deeper into the pits of hell. Sorians believe in determination, sunshine, flowers, hope and gullibility. They'll never understand anything."

This person really needs therapy. Lots of therapy.

"So, I'm going to make them know what it feels to ride down the rollercoaster to hell. Where everyone will belong." Katsunori walked over to me. "You know Shiro, the universe was once nothing. We were all born from pitch darkness. We were all nothing once so how can one say that we are something now?" After saying this, Katsunori disappeared but his laughter and voice could still be heard. "Shiro, you're just returning to the state you were in. There is no difference between life and death. We are all just suffering one way or another."

I was sick of Katsunori but I couldn't help but feel sorrow. What has Katsunori experienced to feel these amounts of sorrow? I wanted to answer back, to tell him it's not what life really is. That there's more to it. "That's not true! As long as people change their point of view and continue working for a better life and a better future, we won't be on a roller coaster to hell! There's more to life than suffering and hell, Katsunori. That's where you got it all wrong."

"And what do you know about going downhill? Your life has been all sunshine and rainbows and the only problems you had was failing a test and having a crush on a girl." I could hear frustration and anger in his voice this time instead of the usual tone.

"No, I faced many problems in my life and realized it's the problems that help you grow. You can't run away from it! Revenge wouldn't change anything about your life but hobbies, friends, family, they can."

"I have no one except Kaito. I'm going to win him over and they'll just wait and see."

It was silent. I couldn't hear any of Katsunori talking anymore. It was just silent. Who's Kaito? What did Kaito have to do with Katsunori and what did he want from him?
