What if I never get out? I opened my eyes and sat up. These past few days, weeks, or something had been like torture. I had slowly lost all track of time waiting for the day that might never come. The day where I can finally see the light again. I laid back down on the floor. What if they weren't going to rescue me? It's okay. I'm used to the dark. Like Katsunori said, we were all born from the darkness. But I'll never see Yui again. Or mom. Or Miss Mindy and Kazuki and the cafe and...and the open sky and the park and badminton with Yui and...that's it I'm finding a place out.
I started wandering around the place. It all looked the same. I was starting to give up when I heard whispering. Could there be other people here? I started walking faster. The whispers were starting to get louder and louder until I stopped in front of a group of people. They turned their heads and looked at me. There was a floating orb, a kindergartner and a guy eating marshmallows.
"Are you the guy Katsunori keeps on talking about?" The one with glasses says.
"What? Who are you? Did you get captured by Katsunori too?" I asked, feeling extremely confused. What was going on? Do they not want to get out of the void?
The orb became green. "Yep. It's Shiro, the loud guy Katsunori was talking about."
I started backing away. These people were strange and how did they know my name?
"Mmmm. I love the taste of emotions, of fear." The one eating marshmallows said.
"You're scaring the human, Akio." The one with glasses said.
"You should taste fear once in a while, Yuto. It's delicious. Tastes a little bit better than this fluffy stuff." He popped a marshmallow in his mouth and crumbled the bag.
"Not everyone uses emotions as energy and besides, didn't Akuma just give you these marshmallows?" Yuto said.
"Whatever." Akio said.
"Oooooh, a crush." The orb said. I started running away but the orb followed. "Don't run away, tell me more! Oooooh a girl named Yui. Drama!"
I turned around facing the orb. My face red from anger. "That's private business!"
"Hehehe. Drama."
Seeing these strange people probably won't tell me the way out, I started walking towards the opposite direction when I heard the sound of someone falling. I turned around to see a white portal closing and a girl looking really worried and angry.
"AKIO!" The girl said, walking towards Akio. "What did you tell Katsunori?!"
Akio looked down at the crumbled bag of marshmallows "More."
The girl pushed away the bag. "What did you say?!"
"I only reminded him of his goal, Akuma."
"The date was going so nicely you moron!"
"His goal is to get revenge, remember."
"No it isn't. Well, okay it was but still. We only want what's best for him and right now, Kaito's what's best for him."
"He wants revenge."
"A want and a need is different!"
"It's up to him what he wants to do."
Akuma furiously stomped on the floor. "We need to help him, Makoto, Yuto, come on."
"No we don't. This is his business." Akio said, standing up and burning the bag away with his hands. "Come on guys, he's a grown man, he can do whatever he wants. We just need to support him."
