A/N for people asking about the one shot from a couple days ago, I can reveal that Roger (fortunately) took a bath with a toaster by mistake after the events and had a trip to hospital for electrocution.
Anyway enjoy the twin cuteness :)
(Char's POV)
"Hi Autumn," I smile answering the door to her. We'd arranged for Mia and I to take the twins out with her during the day. "Are the girls excited for the aquarium?" She asks. "They're so excited you have no idea," I say letting her into the house. "It's all they could talk about going to bed last night." "Auto?" I hear Fraya's voice pipe up from next door followed by the pitter patter of her little footsteps approaching us, duck teddy in hand. "Auto! Auto here!" She runs straight for Autumn's legs, wrapping her tiny little arms around her lovingly. "Wuv Auto!" Autumn swiftly picks her up onto her hip. "Hi little one, don't you look so pretty today?"
Fraya beams in her little yellow dress, her hair tied in tiny little yellow bows to match. "Auto put on duckies?" "Fraya what do we say when we want something?" I prompt. "Pweaseee," she grins. "Duckies pwease." "Of course my darling," Autumn laughs carrying her next door as I follow. Mia's sat with Cece playing with blocks. Her little eyes light up at the sight of Autumn. "Auto! Auto!" "Hi Cece," Autumn smiles. "How are you?" "Cece happy," she chirps. "Cece see fishies today." Autumn finds the remote, switching the channel to find Sarah and Duck for Fraya, who eagerly sits herself in front of the TV. "That's right you are seeing fishies today."
Cece claps her hands excitedly. "See fishies!" Fraya is too engrossed in Sarah and Duck to comment at the moment. Honestly she is hypnotised by that show. "Auto up?" Cece pipes, stretching her arms out to Autumn. "Auto up?" Autumn picks her up onto her lap. "Hi Cece." "One of these days they'll end up running away with you," Mia laughs. "They ask for you almost every day." "Well you know I love them," she smiles slightly looking at Cece. I'd never seen her smile so much since we had the twins.
"Come on then girlies," Mia says standing up. "Let's go to the aquarium!" "Duckies!" Fraya pouts, pointing to the screen. I laugh slightly at her defiance. "Come on pumpkin we can watch the dickies later, we need to go to the aquarium now." "Aqwariarium!" Cece babbles clapping her hands excitedly. "Good... try," Mia laughs. "Can never fault your effort panda." She turns to Fraya, turning the TV off. "Fraya let's go now sweetie pie, you never know you might see duckies at the aquarium."
Autumn and I glance a confused look at each other. "Just... play along," Mia mouths. Fraya jumps up off the sofa immediately. "Duckies! Fray-Fray see duckies!" After Mia's gaslighting success, we get the girls ready and get into the car. They both kick their feet with anticipation, babbling and singing to themselves the entire ride there. "Bless them," Autumn smiles. Once we finally park, the girls take one of Autumn's hands each, Mia and I following on behind and holding each other's hands. "Duckies?" Fraya asks already looking around the carpark for any signs of ducks.
"There won't be ducks in the carpark pumpkin," Mia laughs. "Why?" she inquires. "Because duckies don't like carparks," Mia answers which is predictably met with another "why?" "They might get run over by the cars," she tells her. Fraya stops in her tracks, starting to burst into tears. "Noooo! No duckies wun ower!" I quickly kneel down by my devastated toddler and give her a cuddle to calm her down. "They won't get run over Fraya it's ok the duckies are all safe in their houses they won't get run over." She sniffs, her tears coming to a stop. "Otay Mummy, duckies safe?" "Duckies safe," I repeat. "Are you ready to go in now?"
"Yes Mummy," she pipes up. "Fray-Fray go inside now!" She eagerly takes my hand, skipping her way indoors followed by the others. "Oooo," Cece gasps pointing at all the fish in the tanks. "One, two, three... ten!" She gives herself a tiny round of applause for her unorthodox counting style which makes us all giggle. "No no," Fraya corrects her having her own turn at counting the fish. "Cece watch me! One, two, three... twelve!" Autumn laughs softly at their cuteness. "Do you two want to see the sharks?" The squeal excitedly running off in the other direction with Autumn.
"I didn't tell you," Mia whispers holding her hands on my waist. "You look beautiful today." "So do you," I breathe. She leans in for a soft kiss, taking her time with it and running her fingers softly through my hair to deepen the kiss. "You smell good too," she mumbles into my lips adding another kiss on the end of her sentence. "What's with all these compliments?" I ask. "Just your wife making sure you don't forget how gorgeous you all," she whispers. We turn our heads to admire the fish in the tank behind us, all kinds of colours swimming in the clear tranquil waters. "That one looks like you," she smiles sweetly pointing towards a pretty yellow fish."
"Awww," I blush pointing to a strange looking grey fish with creepy eyes. "And that one looks like you." Mia shakes her head, laughing under her breath. "I will hit you." "Ok," I smirk. "Go for it." "Nice try sweetheart," she teases. She gives my ass a playful spank as we continue to find Autumn and the twins. We soon find them by the shark tank, Cece giggling with joy and Fraya hiding behind Autumn's leg every time a shark gets too close to the tank. "Hey hey it's of pumpkin," Mia says lifting Fraya up. "The sharks can't get to you in there." "Ooo shark!" Cece giggles pointing each of them out to us. "Sharky shark!" "Have we found her new obsession?" I ask Mia. "Very likely," Mia laughs. "Honestly this girl and her animals."
Fraya starts fussing for Autumn again so Mia hands her into her arms, both of us adoring how she immediately calms right down. "Hey little one," Autumn whispers. "It's ok, Auto's got you." "Wuv Auto," Fraya babbles cutely. "Fray-Fray wuv Auto." She hugs her around her neck, smiling over her shoulder. "You know if you two ever want a night off," Autumn says. "Winter and I would be delighted to have the girls stay over again." "I know they would too," I say. "They really do love you Autumn." She smiles slightly wider than the usual polite smile she wears, looking lovingly at Fraya being held in her arms. "Up up!" Cece demands tugging at my skirt. "Cece want carry." I pick her up onto my hip as we walk out into the outdoor section of the aquarium. "Cece you can walk now." "No," she insists. "Cece need carry. Cece no walk."
She wraps her arms tight around my back, making sure she's gripped onto me firmly enough that I can't put her down. Even as I bend my knees and Autum lets Fraya down to play, she stays firmly gripped onto me. I eventually give in and sit down on a bench next to Mia, Autumn helping Fraya on the slide. Cece still sat in my arms. "Are you sure you don't want to play now Cece?" I make sure. "I sure," she nods adamantly. "Cece stay here. Cece want cuddles."
