Kylie's POV

"Just keep this on," Malia said, as I turned on the TV.

I just nodded and put the remote down. I leaned back onto the bedframe and looked her blue pajamas up and down.

The way they hugged her curves, and blue was most definitely her color. Coincidence, I get to see her in blue everyday starting Monday.

She noticed me staring, and we made eye contact. I didn't break it until she started grabbing the cross necklace and holding it between her fingers.

Why does she keep doing that?

"Why do you keep doing that?"

"Doin what?"

"Touching your necklace. Nothing wrong with it, just why?"

She looked down at her hand and let go.

"Didnt even realize I was doing that, sorry"

"No need to apologize." I smiled and turned back to the TV.

I felt her eyes still on me, but I didn't turn around like I usually would.

An hour went by, it was two am.

I was still watching the movie, still thinking about Malias necklace.

I looked down at her.

I stared at the curly brown haired girl laying on my lap. Tangled was playing quietly in the back, and she was softly snoring.

My hand was rested on her waist, the other playing with her hair, I hesitated to do so, but who cares.

I looked up as the movie started to play the end credits, and turned it off with my remote.

I looked at Malia and smiled as her body raised up and down as she breathed. Soon enough, all of my worries faded away.

I don't know why I am so intrigued by her. I've met other people and gotten close this fast, but nothing has ever felt like this.

Growing up, I was always in the acting entertainment industry. This exposed me to so many people, some of which I had fallen for. I started dating a guy named Matthew, and we dated for two years.

Never a girl. Of course i've had temptations, but they had never been strong enough for me to actually get into a relationship with one.

It's obvious I found Malia attractive, but how can I? She's my co-star. Everything will get awkward and confusing.

Right?

I was taken out of my daydream when the TV started playing an intro to a new movie.

I started to move a little, that way I could turn off the light on her side of the bed.

She woke up and yawned.

"What are you doing?" She said with a rasp that sent shivers down my spine.

I patted her leg,

"Shhh go back to bed, i'm just turning off the lights."

I reached over her, the vanilla scent blowing off of her body. I flicked off the lantern and got under the covers beside her.

"I'm so tired."

I looked at her and smiled.

"Go to sleep, Malia."

She just closed her eyes and moved closer to me, wrapping her legs around my waist and burying her head in my chest.

What do I do? I didn't want this moment to end, so I kissed her head and rested my chin on it.

We silently laid awake for a few minutes before I felt my eyelids get heavy and fell asleep.

————————————

The next morning, I woke up in an empty bed. I looked around and wondered where Malia went, and then I heard the door open and she walked in.

"Oh goodmorning Ky," She smiled. She was wearing the blue shorts and...my hoodie? "I picked up breakfast,"

She came to the bed and handed me a to go box.

"Thank you,"  I said, looking into her eyes.

I opened the box and there was a mickey mouse waffle, an egg, and some hash browns.

"Wow, this looks really good, thanks!" I dug in, and some syrup dripped onto my chin.

I looked at Malia and made a funny face, causing us both to laugh. We laughed for a second before she just stared at me.

She used her finger and slowly wiped the syrup off of my chin, her thumb gently brushing my bottom lip.

Lightning bolts filled my stomach. I immediately felt nervous, and I knew that if I had been standing up, my knees would've buckled.

She looked away and just started eating her toast like nothing happened, because nothing happened.

I hated how I've been over-romanticizing every encounter we've had. I hated how I liked her, and I knew I did. I hated that there was nothing I could do about it, and I hated knowing that she didn't feel the same.

How could she? She touches her cross necklace anytime anything ever happened between us, as if trying to send me a message.

Well, message received.

I just wish, nevermind.

"I hope I got what you like, I still don't know you that well yet," Malia chuckled and looked at me.

I just smiled and looked down at my hoodie that she looked so beautiful in.

She looked at me, confusion covering her face and then she had a look of realization.

"Oh, i'm sorry. I was cold this morning and I didn't have one. I'll take it off," She started fumbling around to take it off, but I put my hand on hers.

"Stop, you can borrow anything of mine. Actually, just keep that. You look really good."

She smiled and relaxed her shoulders a bit.

"Thank you Ky," She smiled and looked down. "It smells like you. I love it."

"Good thing it's yours now,"

It felt good to watch her smile, even though I wanted it to be purely because of me and not a stupid hoodie.

We finished eating and met up with Ruby and Josh in the lobby.

"Hey guys," Ruby smiled.

"Hey Rubes," I hugged her and when I pulled away, I saw Josh hug Malia. A little too long, if I'm being honest.

"You smell really good," Josh said to Malia.

Before she could respond, I started talking.

"She does, doesn't she?" I smiled and touched her hand.

I don't know what came over me, but I was grossed out by my own jealousy.

"Thanks guys." Malia subtly took her hand from mine, and put it on her suitcase. Nobody noticed. But I did.

"Ready to go?"

"Yeah. Me and Malia call the back!" Josh yelled.

I looked at Ruby who was already smiling.

"Looks like it's you and me, Ky!"

I smiled, even though it'd be bigger if I got to sit with Malia.
